Phil
The next morning, I woke up early, and nobody else was awake.

The sun was trying to peak it's way thru the clouds, but there were puddles on the grey pavement.

As I unplugged my phone, I had four new messages.

D: are you awake
D: please I need you
D: wake up
D: just text me when you do, I'll be at the park.

I frowned, seeing that he was in trouble, that's my guess.

P: fine, be there in 10.

I quickly had a granola bar, and threw on some random clothes, and scribbled a note. I was off.

Ten minutes later, I was there, and he was staring into the icy blue fountain.

"D-d-dan? Are you okay?"

"Not really. I arrived home last night at midnight, and my mom was sat on the couch, yelling for me. I tried to sneak, but she caught me and started hitting and calling me worthless and a sinner." He paused, not looking up.
"So I fired back 'I'm sinning?  You're the one who sits on your butt all day, drinking and smoking. I'm not the sinner here.' And then she yelled at me to go to my room, and I ran and locked the door, putting my desk chair in front. Then around 5am, I snuck out." He finished, looking towards me.

"I'm so sorry. You're not worthless, being gay just makes people more unique." I said, sitting down.

"I don't know, but what's your family life?" He asked me.

"Well, my parents are okay, I don't know what their views are on gay people, but I won't come out until I leave for uni in three years. But my older brother Martyn is very supportive, he smiles when I wear my tiny pride pin." I finish, somehow feeling bad for how good my home life is compared to Dan's.

"You are so f**king lucky."

"Do you like Panic! At The Disco?" I ask, trying to lighten the mood.

"All you sinners stand up and say Hallelujah!" He shouted, his voice reverberating in the empty park.

"What about Fall Out Boy."

"Hell yeah."

Soon, we were singing songs and laughing, his smile growing after each song.

When it was time to go, I suddenly knew what I wanted to write for my bible verse.

Homosexuality is in no way a sin, it's just loving the person of the same sex. It's totally normal. If a man sleeps with a man, it's because they find happiness in doing so.
As a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ Community, I will fight anybody who says that it is a sin. So, never be non accepting of gays.

And for the first time, I was not dreading Monday.

Hey guys, I can't believe im on the third chapter already. I really can't wait for the future of this book.
