Lemme explain some things about Christians. Thus is just my own word and this all came from the knowledge I've got about our religion.
Actually, their are many types of Christians, like Baptist, Born Again, Christians, etc. My religion is Baptist. Christians and Baptists have differences when it comes to songs. Baptists usually sing solemn songs and others that are pleasant to our ears. Christians usually sing hillsong and some are rock, BUT it's still about Christ.
To see some differences, search the songs "Blessing" by Laura Story and "Rooftops".
And, our ( my religion ) process of being baptized ( converted) is first asking us some questions like "Are you saved?" Why? Well, Christians don't believe that good deeds are the way to heaven, but salvation. That's why they're asking, specifically the pastor or preacher. They'll sometimes also ask you, "What do you worship?" and the answer is the Gospel. Sometimes they'll also ask, "If you die, where will you go?" to see if you'll answer heaven or hell.
And, Baptists are known as "Fundamental Christians" because they believe and obey the Bible. They strictly obey it. If something isn't in the Bible, they won't do it.
Christians don't worship other statues, like what Randi buys. Ya know those things? Yea, we don't worship it. Because they're just humans. They're not Gods. They're merely a servant of God and can't surpass Him. God is their mind set, and His will.
Also, there's also this word that is very common our Religion, the word "Backslide". Well, we all know that we have physical and emotional health. Baptists also havs their Spiritual life, or Christian life. In being a Christian, a REAL one, you have to be saved ( the one I talked about earlier, like accepting Jesus as your God and Savior. ). They're just not gonna chill, because they're going to heaven now. They also have to grow in Spirit. Of course, we the saying, "once saved, always saved", but they wouldn't want God calling them some mean things when they're time comes, right? Then Backsliding is almost being dragged back to your old life, because when we are converted, we are made new, we will change for good, and if our old flaws are still in us, that means we're not really saved yet, like me! In order to not Backslide, we should attended Worships in church and read the Bible, then apply it to our lives.
In Christians, they say there's always a judgement, where if you're not in the book of something, you're ass is whooped strait to hell.
And, the verse John 3:16 is very common with us.
And, Christians and Baptist might have different versions of Bible. Of course, in languages. But, we have another one in English. The NIV, the modern grammar, and the KJV, the King James versions, which had old words, tenses, grammar. Our religion use the KJV.
Hey, there's also perks in being in a Christian school: You wouldn't have to memorize some mysteries, oh! AND rosaries are bad luck to us, cause it's not in the Bible, so we don't believe it.
Christians have to do a Bible reading everyday, to help them grow. Like I said earlier, they base on Bibles. I haven't even read my own Bible since, I don't know when. Christians, should have their own Bible, unlike the Catholic, mostly priests only have it.
And, you probably know it already, we don't have priests. We have our Pastors as leaders. And in our religion, we have Deacons. Our church has three.
We also need tights and offering, which means you'd have to give ten percent of your money to church.
We also don't have the responding-to- the-priest-things, and our songs are different from Catholic a little bit. We also have special numbers, which the members if the church will sing. I've done that a couple of times now, and I always have mistakes. God must've been pissed at me, because I'm an unworthy mother fucker that does a special number when I'm not saved.
Oh, and also, Christians are called Believers. While the Catholics are called Unbelievers.
We also have something called 'Soul Winning', mainly sharing the Word of God to Unbelievers, to be saved.
Baptists don't allow women to be pastors, because it is said in the Bible, women should stay silent. Thought, they could teach little children, but they're not allowed to be preacher, which I thought, is pretty sexist. The leaders should be men, and not us. I could only care less, though.
