Dear Self,

I saw you in the light of the water

I saw you in the reflection of the mirror

I have seen you cry over an exchange student when you were 13

I have seen you cry when you got the scholarship award at 18

I saw how you smiled when you got what you deserved

I saw how you laughed when you were with your friends

Yet now, why are you sitting alone in your room.

All alone.

You have your earpiece in, blasting old Indie music

You have tears slamming at your ripped black jeans

You have thoughts racing through your mind.

It is not worth it.

Darling, you are worth it.

You deserve a love as deep as the ocean.

You deserve the brightest convocation gown.

You deserve a million riches.

You deserve the loudest applause.

You are worthy.

You should never forget that.

Yours Sincerely,

Yourself.

Yourself
