After waking up from a sweet and unforgettable dream, I stretch before getting out of my bed.
I feel different today, maybe because it's my first day of school at Midwood High.
I take up my phone to check the time and it is 8:15 am. I quickly slide out of bed so that I can go and prepare myself for school. I can recall my sister telling me that school begins at 9:00 am, so I guess I have less than 45 minutes to get ready because she says it takes them about 10 minutes to reach there by car.
"Wake up, sis!" My sister shouts loudly from behind my door, making me jump, because it was so unexpected. "Oh... and wear jean clothes today."
"Okay?"
I wonder why this girl telling me what to wear on my first day of school.
...
"Yass B, gotta slay on my first day," I sing to myself, while I spray my perfumes all over my body.
"You mean you gotta slay your ass in the car, hurry up!" Sasha opens my bedroom's door and says, which makes me grab my stuff and run out to where mom is, waiting in the car, with her at the front.
After entering the car, I lay back on the seat because I am very tired from that running. Seems as though they want me to look sweaty and I'm not even a minute in school, actually I'm not even near to the school.
When I'm finish catching my breath, I look up at sis and she too, is wearing jeans. And so is mom.
Sasha
"Um...is today 'World's Jean Day'?" I ask with curiosity.
Sasha rolls her eyes, then says, "I swear to God this girl is always asking something dumb."
"As far as I can see, I never ask anything dumb, and I definitely do not see how this question is dumb."
"Mom ple-" sis says but mom cuts her off.
"Don't mix me, thank you," she smiles as her eyes are stick to the road.
"Ugh..." Sis groans which makes me and mom laugh at the same time.
