A/N: Hello there! Update time....but before I let you read, I just want to thank you :)

Chapter 12~

Standing before us were my parents. Arms crossed, eyebrows raised, questions blazing in their eyes. I felt my stomach drop as the silence started to become stifling.

"U-uh hi mom, dad." My voice cracked with uncertainty as I shuffled to stand in front of Harry.

"Charlotte," My mother's voice was cold enough to rake shivers down my spine. It took me a second to gain some courage along with my voice as I spoke nervously.

"M-mom, d-dad this is H-harry. Harry t-this is my m-mom Linda, and my d-dad J-john." I felt their eyes scanning Harry up and down. I felt my fingers twitch at my sides, wanting to intertwine with Harry's, to find comfort in his touch.

"Nice to meet you Harry." My father's deep voice rumbled through the room, causing me to meet my mothers cold blue eyes. "Why don't you stay for dinner?" She smiled at us, and I was kind of in shock.

"I-I d-don't know i-if I can stay. I-I-I don't want t-to feel like I'm intruding-"

"You're not intruding. You're extremely welcome here," My mothers voice was sickly sweet, as she turned to my father who nodded in agreement. "O-ok," Harry's voice was shaking as he attempted to take a breathe.

"Charlotte, t-they d-don't l-like me." Harry frantically paced the small space in my room. He was tugging at his hair, his skinny jean clad legs taking long strides. I sat on my bed watching him with keen eyes.

"Don't worry, they just weren't expecting you. They'll warm up to you soon," I tried to reassure him, but the scowl that he sends my way tells me that my attempts failed.

"H-how do I act? W-what do I s-say? Do I say anything at all? Oh shit what if they ask me about college? I-I don't know if I c-can even afford college right now-" He began rambling and muttering. I quickly stood and took a hold of his face with my hands. His frantic eyes met mine, and I planted a kiss on his lips to get him to stop talking. Pulling away I saw him relax.

"Calm down. You'll be fine, just be yourself." I spoke softly as my hands dropped from his cheeks. He simply nodded as he sat down at my desk, and I tried to take my own words into context.

"Charlotte!" My mother's voice echoed throughout the house as Harry and I hurried down the stairs to the dinning room. The table was set with a full blown meal, along with my smiling parents. This room has never been used, we always eat in the kitchen. Harry carefully took a seat next to me, his eyes darting to my parents and I every few seconds. Dinner began quiet, everyone eating their food, or silently pointing for something to be passed.

"So Harry...am I able to know why you are with my daughter?" My father's question made Harry's eyes go wide with fear, his hands dropping the napkin in his lap.

"U-uh-"

"We're friends dad, and we so happenedly were partnered up for a project." I cut him off with a smile, my father considering my answer.

"Do you have any siblings?" My mother fired the next question, her voice hinting that she was deeply curious. "It's j-just my mom and I. Only child." He answered as he took a sip of his water.

My father's eyes averted to Harry's arm, his many tattoos peaking out from under the black material.

"Is that a tattoo?" He asked and I felt horrible; poor Harry.

"U-uh y-yeah," Harry quietly admitted as his eyes focused on the food that lay on his plate. "Interesting," Was his only reply, and that got me a tad worried.
