Hayden's POV
i've gone back to school but Annie hasn't. she's doing okay. she's in the hospital. she took a lot of pills. she has a machine connected to her that is keeping her alive. she's not in any pain. but i am. i feel bad that i had no clue.
i visit her everyday.
her mom is okay too. she's upset she doesn't know why Annie would do this to herself. i don't know either. Hayley is devastated, Annie's the only one she has left and she almost lost her.
today we are going to the hospital after school and Ms Katie's work.
-visiting-
"Hey Ans" i say walking in holding her hand.
"can i -" she froze. she gave one of the "should i do this" looks. "can i talk to each of you by yourself for a second" she asks sitting up.
we nod. "you first mom" she says, me and Hayley leave.
Annie's POV
"i love you so much mom. i want you to know the reason i tried this was not because of you" i say to my mom. she starts to cry "please don't cry" i say lightly.
she gets up and Hayley comes in
"Hey Hay Hay" i say. my voice cracks. this is going to be the hardest one. "i love you so much. i always will" i say squeezing her.
then Hayden. "oh Hayden, i know i've only known you for a little while. but you are my everything. you are truly an amazing person who was there for me. i've always wanted to do this" i say smashing my lips on his. he kissed back. i release my lips from his. "i love you"
i pull the cord.
Hayden's POV
she said she loves me. before i got to say it back she pulled the cord. the cord that was keeping her alive. "HELP! HELP" i scream opening the door. doctors and Hayley and mrs Katie come running in. crying. i was on the floor balling my eyes out. "fuck" i scream. the doctors and Annie's family wants me to tell them what happened. i can't. i can't breathe. i can't see. i'm broken.
my heart is broken.
