"Did you phone him yet?" Asked Riya as she took a seat next to me on my couch.

I shrugged.

"No.And I'm starting to think I might not phone him at all"

"Well why not?" She asked sounding disappointed.

"One,because his probably moved on.And two,who randomly calls their ex after one and a half years?"

Riya sighed and took a bite out of her wonder bar.

"Your thinking to much about it Addy, just do it.It can't kill..."

I got up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water from the refrigerator I called , "I know what I'm doing."

I walked back into the lounge to see her rolling her eyes, scrunch up the wrapper of her wonder bar and toss it towards the bin near the coffee table only to miss.

She got up to throw it away just as I sat back down.

"That's what you've being saying for the last year and a half, but I know you by now,you don't know what your doing. If you did you wouldn't be having second thoughts about everything"

She picked up the wrapper and successfully threw it in the bin before slumping back down in the seat next to me again.

"Don't call me that,and I'm serious, I'm fine.I don't need you to give me advice" I deadpanned.

"Don't call you what?Don't call you 'Addy'? Is it because he called you 'Addy'?"She smirked.

I took a swig of my water and wiped my mouth of with the back of my sleave.

"Yes" I said not looking at her.

He did call me Addy.Christian did.And now, everytime I hear someone call me Addy it hurts.

But why?it shouldn't hurt me.I should be over him.Right?

She rolled her eyes yet again and cleared her throat.

"The fact of the matter is that you do need my advice because deep down-no matter how many times you deny it-you will always need it"

I forced a smile onto my lips before leaning over and placing my water bottle down on the coffee table.

"I have to go" I said nonchalantly.

"Where to?" Asked Riya.

I slipped on my black knee length boots and zipped them up over my black leggings.

"Work" I said monotonously.

"On a Saturday?" She asked arching a brow.

"Yes Riya.On a Saturday. Some of us need to make a living.Something you wouldn't know about"

I walked over to my front door and picked up my coat and tote bag from the coat rack.

"Excuse me very much.I'll have you know that the only reason they fired me from that last job is cause apparently your not alowd to fratinise with any of the other employees.Ludacris if you ask me." She looked down at her nails and began filing them.

It was my turn to roll my eyes at her.

"Riya, your not alowd to have such personal relationships with an employee at any job. You'd know that if you managed to hold down a job for at least a month."

I threw on my coat and fixed the collar.

"Working just isn't for me" she shrugged not looking up at me but instead focusing intently on her nails.
