Jack looks over to his friend. Tyler smiles.
"You good?" He nods. "Okay. Well, I have something to tell you." Jacks heart skips a little.
"W-What's up?"
"You got something on your back." Jack looks over his shoulder, hoping to see it. Tyler laughs. "Want me to get that?"
"Yes please."
"What do you think it says?"
"Probably just something saying that im a nerd or something else rude." I roll my eyes.
"No. It says something else." Jack looks at Tyler.
"Lemme see." He says. Tyler hands him it, and Jack politely takes the sticky note. He reads it.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
You look at me,
But dont know the truth"Who the hell-?" I look around the hallway. It was still full of people. Damn.
"Look, it doesn't matter. Whoever it is has to be pulling a sick prank."
"Well, we should probably just get to class before it starts." Jack says. Tyler agrees and they leave. They get into their class and sit down in the third row. Jack looks down at his noyebook, waiting for the professor to show up.
"Hey, Jack."
"Hmm." He simply says.
"Marks staring at you." Jack looks up from his notebook and to the seventh row. Surely enough, Mark Fishbach was staring at him. Mark turns away. Jack turns back to face his notebook. He looks at Tyler. "Look, I don't know what to tell you."
"Probably thinking about how to prank me." He opens his notebook and starts doodling.
"Whatever happened between you two, it isn't my fault, and I don't need to butt in unless you want me to." Except, it was Tylers fault.
"Jack! Jack! Jack!" A high school boy with raven black hair approaches his fellow student. "Jack, the coolest thing happened!"
"What?" Jack asks, anxious to know.
"Turns out my crush likes me back!"
"Really?! That's awesome!" Not for Jack. Jack was head over heels for this guy.
"I might ask him out this Friday. If I get the guts to." He says. Jack feels his heart fall into the burning acid that was hatred in his stomach. He feels it ache, and burn, and want to die. Nobody ever loved him, he always thought. He's just a puney little shit, he always said. 'Seán William McLouchlin is a big ol' nothing.' He thought as his friend continued to talk non-stop about the boy.
Jack wasn't listening. He was too heart broken.
"Hey, Jack!" Another voice calls. Jack looks over at his other friend, Tyler.
"Oh. Hey, Tyler." He says. Tyler runs over and looks at Jack.
"Whoa, are you okay?"
No. "Yes." He says. Tyler looks at Mark. "What did you do?" He asks.
Mark turns to the boys. "What?" He asks.
