"Boyfriend." All eyes move to behind the nurse. Jaws drop and eyes widen at the sight they see. "He's my boyfriend."

Jack stands up, and runs to Mark. Mark wraps his arms around Jack, Jack trying extremely hard not to touch the wounds.

"Mark, I was so worried." Jack pulls out of the hug. "I was afraid you weren't go in to make it, and that I was never going to see you again, or that you might go into a coma and never wake, or maybe even-" lips hush the boy. He does shut up, closing his eyes, melting into the kiss. Mark puts a hand on Jacks back, then another, pulling him closer. Jack wraps his arms around his neck. The kiss lasts for what would've been forever if a nurse hadn't stopped them.

"Apologies for intervening," the boys pull only their lips apart, looking at her. "but Mark still isn't stable enough to walk. He should be here for at least another week." Jack looks at Mark, and Mark looks back. Jack nods.

"Whatever is best for him." He says. They pull apart, Jack already missing Marks touch.

"You are allowed to visit still." She continues. "Just, carefully." Jack nods again. The three of them go into the room, the nurse leaving Mark and Jack shortly after. Mark was only sitting on the bed while Jack was on the chair that was next to it. Mark pulls Jack into another kiss.

Jack yet again melts into the kiss. They both start to get closer to each other, Jack pulling the chair forward three times before Mark picks him up. Jack instinctively wraps his legs around Mark. Mark puts Jack on the bed. Mark stops kissing Jack and starts kissing his face, then his jaw, then down his neck, leaving hickies and softly biting his neck. Jack tries not to, but little moans leave his mouth. Mark covers Jacks moth the best he can. A knock on the door pulls Mark away. Jack gets off the bed, let's Mark lay down, then sits in the chair. Mark notices that the hickies are visible. The door swings open before Jack can hide his neck. He decides to just leave it be.

Jack looks at the door. A women that looks very much like Mark stands in the doorway.

"Mark!" She says. Her voice was a little more high pitched.

"Hi, mom." She walks up to him and hugs him.

"Are you okay? What happened? How did it happen? Who did it? Who is that? Did he do it? What happened to my son? Is it your fault?" She continues to ask questions every two seconds while Mark tries to calm her down, laughing a little.

"Mom. Its okay. This is Jack. My boyfriend." She looks at Jack, stopping all words. She then looks back at Mark.

"Mark? You're gay?"

"I'm bisexual." She looks back at Jack.

"You're with my son?"

"Yes ma'am. And, I've never been happier with him. He really is a sweet boy. And, I love making him happy." Mark and Jack start holding hands. Marks mom stares at the hands. Mark looks at his mom.

She had tears in his eyes.

"Mom? What's wrong?"

"Nothing." She chokes on her tears. "Its just that-" she starts to cry even more. "Your father, he would be- he would be so proud of this. Of you." She completely loses it. "I'm sorry." She leaves the room.

"Wait, your father?" Jack turns back to Mark. "What happened with your rather?"

"He died of cancer not too long ago. Remember that week I wasn't at school?" Jack nods. "That was the week we lost him. We stayed with him up until Wednesday, making his last moments memorable. Then, we decided to have a few days with each other, my step mom, mom, brother and I, and some other family members. We had the funeral last week, actually."

"Oh, Mark."

"There's no need to feel sorry. I'm okay, now."

"I know. But, it just feels right." Mark smiles. Jack goes in for another kiss. They make it last for a few seconds. Jack looks at the time. It was almost three. "Baby, as much as I love being with you, I need to go. I need to finish the project. It's due on Monday morning, right at 8."

"I understand. Promise me you'll be safe? And see me everyday after class ends? And in spare times? Just, whenever you can until I get out of here?"

"Yes, baby. I promise." He kisses him again.

"I love you." Jack smiles.

"I love you, too." Jack and Mark kiss one last time, and Jack leaves the room. He sees Charlie in the waiting room. Marks mom walks back into Marks room and the door closes. Jack walks up to Charlie. "You didn't come in and see him?" They head out of the hospital.

"Nah. I didn't want to kill any romance." Jack smiles as they get into the car. They ride I'm silence once again.

But it was a good silence.

They arrive at the university. Jack gets out fast and rushes up to their dorm. He gets inside, and starts working on the project.

He finishes the while project after four hours of hard work. Charlie knocks on the door.

"Hey, Jack, do you want some food? I made dinner."

"Umm... sure. I want to keep Mark from worrying about me. And, food is amazing." Charlie laughs.

"Okay. Well, I think I'm going to head out. I'll be back... sometime. Ill text you when I'm almost home."

"Okay! Bye!" Jack hears the door that leads out into the hallway, which lead to other various hallways and a few starewells, which also lead to some more stairs, then more, then down to the main hallway and lobby of the dorms, which lead to the outdoors close. [Lots of details for one door 😂.]

Jack gets out of his room and goes into the kitchen. He sees a Cup o' Noodles on the counter with a note.

Thought I should make you some food.
Sure, it isn't big and fancy,
but neither is life.
Love, your brother Charlie

Jack smiles and takes the noodles. He goes to the couch and watches some TV, enjoying his night.
