Jack holds on to Marks waist. They both get butterflies as Mark pulls off into the streets. Mark goes slowly, making sure the two of them don't crash, and trying to keep Jack from throwing up.
After five minutes, Jack found himself leaning even closer into Mark. Marks face was burning. And Jack was just enjoying the ride and the company.
Not too long after, Mark came to a complete stop. Jack gets off the bike, letting go of Marks waist.
"How was the ride?"
"It was enjoyable." Jack says. "Where are we?"
"Close your eyes and take off your shoes."
"What?"
"Take off you shoes, and close your eyes." Jack was about to say something, but stops in his tracks. Marks trying to make him have fun. And fun shouldn't be questioned. Jack removes his shoes, and hands them to Mark. Mark puts them on the motorcycle, and stretches his hand out for Jack to take. Jacks hesitant at first, but finally allows him to grab it. Jack smiles, Mark returning the gesture. Jack closes his eyes. "Okay. I'm ready. Let's go."
Mark turns Jack around, and they follow the road that lead down. It turned left, then went right, and finally straightened up. Jack felt cold pavement, obviously a sidewalk, as they continue their journey. "How close?" Mark chuckles. "Almost there." Jack nods in response, getting another chuckle from Mark. This makes him smile even more. The sidewalk ends as he feels a looser pavement under his feet.
That's when he realizes, it was sand. He can smell the salty water from where they stand. They continue the stroll, Mark looking back at Jack every so often, making sure he was okay, and just taking the advantage to look at the boy.
All of a sudden, a rush of cold and wet hits Jacks anckles. He gasps and feels more wind touch his body. He smiles like a child in a candy store.
"Are we at the beach?" Mark nods, forgetting that Jacks eyes are closed.
"Oh, sorry, open your eyes." Jack does, and it takes a few seconds before his vision is back to normal. He looks at the black looking water that outstretched across the world, and meets the black sky, filled with stars and completed with the moon, shining onto the water's surface. He looks at Mark. "Mark, it's so beautiful." He goes for his phone, and when he looks at his hand, he realises that his and Marks were not only together, but interlocked, the fingers laced within each other. He looks at Mark, red stretching on his face. Mark locks the gaze, and allows Jack to see red spread on his face.
"Jack?" Jack feels butterflies.
"Yes?"
"Do you trust me?"
"Of course. Why?"
"Follow me." Mark leads Jack back up the hill, and even further up to a cliff. Jack stops in the middle of the cliff. "What's wrong?" Mark looks at Jack.
"I'm afraid of heights." He says, peering out to the cliff edge.
"Im afraid of the ocean. And, I'm afraid of losing you, and yet here I am, leading you to a cliff edge." Jack isn't sure how to feel about that.
Happy that someone cares, or scared that he's leading him to the edge of the cliff. Jack looks at Mark. "Okay. I trust you." Mark nods, and leads him to the edge. He puts Jack right at the edge of it, his toes at the very top of the cliff. Marks hands were on his waist. Jack rests his hands on Marks. He holds on right to his hands. Mark moves his hands to Jacks stomach, intertwining his fingers together. He steps closer to Jack. Jack looks down the cliff a little, his to see how far the drop was. It's probably only 20 feet. Calm down. He's got you.
The boys stand there for a while before Mark rests his head on Jacks shoulder, Jack resting his head against Marks.
Jack looks at Mark, Mark looking back. They lock eyes once again. Jack carefully turns around, so his heels are facing the edge. Marks hands rest on Jacks hips, Jack wrapping his arms around Marks neck. Jack and Mark both start leaning in, but Jacks ringtone ruins the moment. The boys awkwardly stare at each other, red now consuming their faces. Mark steps back a little, not letting go of Jack until he is secure enough and guaranteed not to fall, Jack doing the same. They get a good few feet away from the edge when Jack finally picks up his phone.
"Hello?"
"JACK! C-COME B-BACK TO THE UH, THE-THE CLUB! YES! DO IT! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!"
"Tyler? What's the, "yes" about?"
"Uuuuuuuh- YES." Jack rolls his eyes.
"You're drunk aren't you?"
"YES."
"What do you need? I'm kind of in the middle of something."
"OH. SORRY. ARE YOU BANGING SOMEONE?! HEY GUYS! JACKS BANGING SOMEONE!" A crowd cheers out loud into the phone. Jack pulls it away from his ear. Mark looks at the annoyance that was now expressed on Jacks face. He sighs.
"No, I'm not banging anyone. And I won't be for a while." He makes eye contact with Mark, their eyes having a conversation. He puts fingers up to his lips, telling him not to say anything.
"WHAT?! OH, BOOOOO! HEY, EVERYONE, BOO JACK! BOOO! BOOO! JACKS NO FUN! BOOOOO!" A symphony of 'boos' ring through Jacks ears. Angered, he decided to hang up. He sighs and puts the phone back. Mark looks at him.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I guess." Mark pulls Jack back to the motorcycle, sadness stretching across Jacks face. He didnt want to leave. Mark holds his hand out.
"Hand me your phone and anything that you don't want getting wet." Jack, confused, hands his stuff to Mark. Mark puts them in a secure place as he drags Jack to the ocean again, taking off his shirt. Jack does the same, and they walk into the water only wearing their shorts and boxers. They walk into the cold water, Jack running his hands across the surface, Mark watching.
"What?" Jack says, looking at Mark. Jack is the one to make a move this time, grabbing Marks hands, and standing there with interlocked hands. Mark smiles at him. Jack was already smiling.
Mark then pulls Jack into a kiss.
