Mark wakes up and goes into the bathroom. He takes a shower, then steps out moments later. Towel wrapped around his waist, he looked in the mirror. He looked at his hair.
"Maybe I should dye it. Do something with it." He runs his fingers through his hair, and then totally messed it up. He went to grab a brush, but accidentally missed it. He looks at the brush, picks it up, and sees something from the corner of his eye. He looks over to the top left corner of the sinks platform. He picks up the object, and emedietally his eyes widen. He takes the object out of the bathroom with him.
He gets back to Jacks room, and sees he was still asleep. He looks at the sleeping boy. He smiles. Cutie. He puts on his clothes, hiding the object. He walks over to Jack and lays next to him. They didn't have school, which meant they could sleep for as long as they wanted. Mark waits patiently for him to wake.
20 minutes later, he finally rose from the dead. He stretched, and then noticed there was a Mark in front of him. "Morning. Enjoy your slumber, Sleeping Beauty?" Jack nods.
"It was very pleasant. And the wake was devine."
"Do you want to go out for dinner tonight?"
"Oh, uh, sure. I guess." Mark kisses his nose. "Where are we going?"
"I dont know. I'd have to look up a good restaurant. Where do you want to go? Personally, I think we should go to a kid friendly restaurant." Jacks face goes blank.
"W-why kid friendly?"
"Well, isn't it obvious?" Jack feels his heart leap into his stomach. "We're pretty much like over sized kids." Mark laughs as Jack fakes one. He lets out a sigh of relief. "How about Dairy Queen? Or, maybe Olive Garden? Isn't the most kid friendly place, but it is a nice place."
"Oh, uh, sure." Mark smiles. "Good. Looks like tonight will be fun!"
"Yeah. It will." He holds his stomach, trying not to make it obvious.
"Are you okay?" Jack looks in Marks eyes. "What do you mean?"
"You're both spacing out a lot and you're also holding your stomach." Jack looks at his arms.
"Just, cold. That's it."
"Okay. If you say so."
------
Jack slips on his leather jacket, over his white button up shirt. He thought that he should wear this, and Mark should wear a button up, but Mark thought button ups weren't, "his thing." So, Jack was wearing black skinny jeans, no tears, and his loosely fit white button up, while Mark was wearing a red t-shirt and his blue jeans, plus his matching black leather jacket with a tiger and a few roses on the back. They walk out of the dorm, Charlie saying goodbye to them as they left.
They got down to the student parking lot, and Mark gets on his motorcycle. Jack climbs on next. He wraps his arms around Marks waist, and then puts his helmet on. Mark got him a pastel pink helmet with a huge glittery, "S" on it. He fastens it. Mark puts his on. He got a new one. It was red and had a huge black, "M" on it. He fastens his.
They finally leave to Olive Garden.
Jack thinks about how close Mark was to finding out about the pregnancy on the way there.
Mark thinks about chicken and dumplings.
------
They get to Olive Garden, and get off the motorcycle. They take off their helmets.
"I still think you should've worn a dress." Mark says.
"W-why?"
"Because you'd look hella hot in it." He boops Jacks nose. Jack looks at the tip of his nose, right where Mark touched. Mark starts laughing, then grabs Jacks hand, leading them inside. Jack looks forward and sees a family of three come out. He watched the family until they were on the other side of the parking lot. Mark noticed.
They get inside and Mark takes care of most of the things while Jack looks at the pictures on the walls. A lot of them contained kids and their straight and happy parents. He finds it a little offensive that there were no gay families, until he sees a picture of two men kissing and their daughter. They were overly excited.
Jack feels a bit of relief come to him seeing this.
"Baby." He looks over at Mark. "Come on." Jack follows him to a booth. It was simple. Red chairs, tan-ish table, chairs are kinda comfortable.
They both order pasta.
But Jack barely touches it. He was more focused on the people walking outside. He feels a hand touch his. He doesn't look away from the people.
"Jack? You aren't eating. Are you sure you're okay?" He doesn't respond. Not a single nod. No shakes. Nothing. Just breathing and blinking. "Baby?" Still nothing. Mark sighs and takes his hand off of Jacks. "Jack, we need to talk."
Jack looks over at Mark faster than Flash can get to China.
"You've been... distant recently. Are you okay?"
"Mark, I'm sorry. I just, I'm sorry." He looks down.
"Jack, you know you can tell me anything. No matter what it is." Jack sighs.
"Yeah, I know." He says.
"I'll protect you, no matter what happens."
"Mark, I have something to tell you."
"Go ahead, baby." Tears start staining Jacks cheeks as they stream down his face. "Baby?"
"I-I'm..." He starts to sob uncontrollably. Mark gets out of his seat and goes next to Jack, comforting him.
"Baby, please. I hate seeing you like this. Whatever it is, we'll get through it."
Jack continues to sob. Mark hugs him. He hugs him tightly, and kisses his cheek. "Baby, I promise. I'll never leave or hurt you. We'll be okay. I swear."
Jack wraps his arms around Marks neck, and whispers into Marks ear. Mark pulls away from Jack.
His face was full of shock. "Really?"
