Jack, surprised, pulls away from the other boy. Mark looks at him confused.

"What was that?!" He asks. Jack covers his mouth and holds one arm over his chest.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. I jus saw the opportunity and I just really wanted to-"

"Opprotunity?" Jack questions. He lowers his hand to help cover his chest. "Opprotubity to what? Get in my pants?"

"What? No. If I wanted in your pants I wouldn't have treated you this way."

"What do you mean?"

"I was treat in you nicely because I wanted a normal relationship with you." Jack stands there, stunned.

"What do you mean by "normal"?"

"Like, I want to be a normal..." He trials off, not wanting to finish. He looks back at Jack, and sees he was trying really hard to be patient. "A couple. I want us to be a couple." Jack stands there, stunned and a little flattered.

Minutes pass before anyone does anything.

"Mark, can you please just take us back to the dorms?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I can." They get out of the water, put on their clothes, and get on to the bike. Just before leaving, Mark gives Jack his leather jacket. Jack accepts in, slipping his hands into the sleeves. They ride in silence.

They get to the university, and get off the bike. Mark walks Jack up to his dorm.

"Jack, I'm sorry that-" Jack pulls Mark into a kiss right in front of his dorm. The people walking by watch them as if they were kids having a tantrum.in a public place. Jack pulls away, slipping something into Marks hand, neither of them losing eye contact. He smiles at Mark, and goes into his dorm. Mark stands in front of the closed door, confused.

Jack walks through his dorm and to his room. He lays down, then realizes that he still has Marks jacket. He shrugs and turns off the light, falling asleep.

Jack wakes up to what sounds like a crying baby. Worried, he gets up and checks around the dorm. He gets to the living room and sees that his roommate, Charlie, was watching TV. He lets out a sigh of relief. Charlie looks at him.

"Oh. Morning, dude."

"What time is it?" He asks, joining Charlie on the couch.

"It's 6 am. Nice jacket, by the way."

"Oh, it's not mine-"

"It Mark Fishbachs'." Charlie finished the sentence, not breaking the hold the TV had on his eyes. "I know. We used to be good friends. But then he became head over heels for some guy and he wouldn't shut up about him. It was really annoying, and cute."

"Oh. Who was he?"

"I can't remember. Think it was John or something. You could always ask him yourself."

"Nah. I'm good." Jack looks at the TV.

"Suit yourself." He stands up.

"Where are you going?"

"Need to work on Mr. Field's project. I am NOT letting myself fail. Whelp. Bye, Jack. See you later."

"Bye." He watches Charlie get to the door.

"Oh, and Jack?" Jack looks at Charlie. "Tell Mark I say hi next time you two are together." Jack nods, and watches Charlie open the door. "Speak of the devil. Hi, Mark." Jack turns away from the door.

"Hi, Charlie. Jack up?"

"Oh, yeah. He's on the couch. Feel free to come in. I got to go. See you two!" With that, Charlie and Mark switch sides of the door and Mark closes it. He looks at Jack, then joins him on the couch.

"Hi, Mark." Jack doesn't look away from the TV.

"Shouldn't we get started?"

"I guess." Jack doesn't turn off the TV, but he does get up. They go into Jacks room and close the door. Mark sits on Jacks bed, and Jack sits on his chair, his arms crossed over the back of the chair, and his head resting on his arms.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah."

"You still have my jacket on?"

"Yep."

"Why?"

"Because I like it."

"Because Its mine or because it's a jacket?"

"Can it be both?" He looks at Mark. Mark smiles.

"Sure." He smiles weakly.

"Can we just... um..."

"Jack?"

"Can we please just lay down?"

"In your bed?"

"Or on the floor. Either is okay." Mark nods. "Floor or bed?" Mark crawls on to the floor. Jack laughs and joins him. They start out just next to each other. But after much movement, Jack is on his stomach, and laying on Marks stomach. He was full on laying on Mark. His head was resting on Marks chest, and his feet were farther from Marks, only so he could lay his head on his chest.

"What do we call this?" Mark looks at Jack. "What do you mean?"

"What is this?"

"What's, "this" representing?"

"Us. What are we?"

"What do you want to be?" Jack shrugs.

"A couple, I guess." Mark lays back down. "Didn't you read that slip of paper?"

"It said, "yes" and had your number."

"Yes."

"But what were you saying yes to?"

"Us. I want us. I want to be with you, too." Marks face lit up. He got up, Jack getting up as well.

"Wait, r-really?!" Mark asks. Jack nods.

"Yes. I am very serious." Mark started smiling super big. If he didn't stop the stretching of his mouth, he would've looked like Jeff the Killer. "Someones excited."

"Yes, I really am! I've been in love with you for a long time!"

"W-wait, how l-long?" Jack asks.

"Since like, high school." Jack gasps, and grabs his box. Confused, Mark just watches.

"I've had this since I met you." He opened to box, and the notebook labeled, "Pastel Flower Boy," and grabs it. "Mark, this notebook is my secret notebook. It's filled with the biggest crush of my life and filled with my current crush." He looks up from the cover and up to Marks eyes. He opens the botebook, and reveals the very first page.

The page with the big heart, small smiles, stars, hearts, and bubbles. The heart had, "MARK" stretched inside it, all six colors of the rainbow being faded in and out of each other in order as the color for his name. Mark looks at Jack. "Just, look through it." He does so.

After getting to the twelfth and last page written in, Mark looks at Jack from one the notebook.

His expression worries Jack.
