Teddy Lupin chuckled to himself, entering his private quarters. The Hogwarts students sure knew how to party.

He quickly changed into his pajamas as he couldn't stay in those fancy suit he wore for the ball anymore. It was uncomfortable.

He had danced with so many girls, but all night, his eyes had been on Lily. Lily who looked breathtaking in that silver dress. Lily, who was more beautiful than anyone he had ever met.

Teddy remembered when he first fell in love with her. It was a Christmas party, and he hadn't been feeling well. So he escaped from there, taking Lily with him. They had laid on the grass and stargazed all night, their hands intertwined. Of course, Lily didn't think anything of that. Lily thought of Teddy as a brother. Nothing more. It's been almost three years since that incident, and well.....Teddy still kept everything to himself. Of course, after awhile James figured out. James is very overprotective of Lily, but Teddy was surprised when he encouraged him. It was weird and very unusual for James.

Teddy knew he wasn't supposed to have feelings like this. He was supposed to think of Lily as a sister. She's her godfather's daughter, after all. And not to forget, the nine-year age gap they have. Harry wouldn't be too pleased when he realizes that his godson has fallen in love with his daughter.

A knock broke Teddy of his thoughts. He took quick strides and opened the door, only to find a crying Lily outside the door.

"Lily? What's wrong?" He asked, eyes filling with concern for the girl.

Lily didn't say anything but attacked Teddy with a hug as sobs racked her body.

Teddy closed the door, and brought her inside and sat down on a couch with her. She was still sobbing.

   "H-He...I c-can't-"

"Hey shhh...it's alright, hun. Cry it out." Teddy rubbed her back soothingly.

After a few minutes, Lily finally calmed down. She broke out of the embrace and wiped her cheeks.

"Now, tell me what happened. Do I need to beat up anyone?" Teddy asked, his lips twitching.

She chuckled. "Oh man, I might look really gross, my makeup's all smudged now."

Gross? This woman wasn't capable of looking anything other than beautiful, Teddy thought to himself.

   "Nah, you look alright."

" Anyway, remember how I went to the ball with Caleb Goldstein?"

   Teddy nodded.

"Well, turns out, he only wanted me 'cause I was popular and all. You know, 'the-boy-who-lived's daughter." She sighed.

Teddy pulled her into his chest. "You know that there's more to you than that? 'Cause I do."

   She smiled.

"And there's Scorpius, he so-ugh! One moment he's like 'i may like you' and the next moment he's like 'i don't care about you'" She huffed.

"Y-You like Scorpius?" Teddy's eyes widened.

"Yeah, maybe I do....." Lily smiled.

Teddy's heart shattered. He knew Lily and him could never be together, their age gap contributing to that. He still smiled.

"Well, that's great, I guess." He said.

"What's wrong?" She questioned. Teddy muttered a 'nothing' in return and pulled her closer. "I can't believe that Caleb guy said that."

"Me too. And he kissed me at the ball today! And then I'm like, woah hold on, not this fast, and he's bad mouthing me. Like how apparently I'm a slut." She said. Teddy's eyes widened. "I swear to god, I'll make sure to give him a detention and beat his ass up when I see him next."

Lily smiled. She wrapped her arms around Teddy. "You're my favorite person ever, you know that?" She said grinning.

Teddy grinned back. "And you're mine." He said, and he meant it.
