TEDDY SMILED to himself as Lily dragged him along.

"Calm down, woman, I'm coming!" He said, running along. "You've got to see that jellyfish, Teds, it's so beautiful!" Lily gushed. "Where's James?" He questioned. "I...don't know? He was tanning earlier and now he's....gone?" She said, perplexed.

Teddy sighed. He knew where James was. It was James' plan to make a trip to the nearest beach, just the three of them. Teddy had suggested driving to the beach, as he loved long drives. As soon as they reached their location, James claimed he needed to 'tan'. Teddy knew it was an excuse to give Lily and him some alone time. They didn't need it, of course. They were never going to happen, but James like believe it was only a matter of time before it did. Lily was going very strong with Scorpius, who Teddy absolutely loathed.

"Look, Teds, it's so beautiful!" Lily pointed to a reddish-whitish jellyfish at the shore. Teddy took a step back. "Erm, Lils, you do know they are dangerous, right?" Teddy said, his eyes flicking to Lily's. "Dangerous, but really beautiful." She said, dreamily.

"Can I take it home with me?!"

"No! Obviously not! Why would you take a jellyfish home?!"

   "It's pretty!"

   "You might die!"

   "It doesn't matter!"

   "It does!"

   "I'm getting it anyway!"

Lily turned and prepared to run and Teddy grabbed her arm, bringing her face close to his. Very close to his. He looked into her beautiful chocolate brown eyes; her brilliant and clear brown eyes. Under sunlight, it's almost like her eyes melted into golden rays. Little, unrecognizable freckles dotted her face in certain areas. Her slightly chappy, pink lips. Teddy has never seen such a beautiful person. Sure she has imperfections, but they were perfect to him.

Lily kept a hand on his chest and she looked deep in thought as she, like Teddy, stared at him.

   "LILY! TEDDY! WANNA GO SURFING?!"

Their magical moment was broken by James' obnoxious voice. Teddy mentally cursed James and kind of thanked him too.

James came upon the scene to find them at a distance of five feet. Both of them looked rather....awkward and shy?

"So, um , James, let's surf?" Lily said, clearing her throat.

   "Sure...." James trailed off.

"You mean, you were about to kiss?!" James questioned as they were sitting on a blanket on the sand as Lily went swimming.

"No...yeah...I don't know, okay? I don't know what would have happened if you came five minutes late." He said, as his hair changed color and became ginger red. It transformed again to green, and then finally to blue. "This is so complicated!"

"I'm sorry, y'know? For ruining the moment." James said, smiling sadly.

"No, no, no it's alright. It's good. You did a good thing. I mean if we kissed, she would have cheated on Scorpius, and I don't want her to do that." Teddy reasoned.

James nodded, looking away into the distance.

Lily stood in the waist-deep water, alone, as her brother and Teddy were talking back in the beach.

Teddy. From their little 'moment' earlier, it would be a lie if she said that she didn't feel anything. She felt tingles and felt her heart racing when he pulled her close to him. Maybe it was a cr-

"No, Lily. Don't think like that. He's like a brother to you," Or is he?, her subconscious mind challenged. Lily shook her head and cleared it of all those thoughts and focused on the water ahead of her.
