"oh, ted. *sighs* listen, lily would be alright. the doctor said it herself."

"she can't recognize me!"

"i was there when she woke up! sh-she looked at me and started screaming! she thinks i hurt her! and ki-kimberly! she's dying! she won't survive it! *sobs*"

"...teddy. listen to me. the doctor said-"

"well, i don't give a flying fuck about what the doctor said!"

"well, you should!"

"stop yelling!"

"you're the one who yelled at me!"

"listen, i don't care if you don't give a flying fuck what the doctor thinks. i'll say it anyway. lil's suffering memory loss because of the way she was tortured. she won't be like uncle neville's parents, trust me. she's a fighter. the doc said it himself. just give it a few hours, and she'll remember you and she'll be fine. she's currently talking very normally to uncle harry and aunt gin. so you don't have to worry."

"how can i not worry about her? she's my everything."

"i know, ted, i know."

"how's kim?"

"*sighs* i don't think she'll make it through the night."

"it's all nina and riddhi's fault. i swear if i get my hands on them-"

"do you know who riddhi is? and why they attacked lil?"

"who?"

"she's yaxley's daughter. padma and yaxley briefly dated before uncle harry captured him- he was a death eater, remember- and he was executed."

"bu-but why-"

"riddhi loves her father. she wanted revenge. there's no way she can harm harry, so she chose his daughter."

"oh my god."

"i know, right? nina and riddhi were best friends. nina knew of her heritage. lucy didn't. so when she realized it, she tried stopping them. but she couldn't. so she called mcgonagall instead."

"i-i could have protected lil."

"no, you couldn't. now stop beating yourself over it, and get back to the hospital. james is here."

"where's laurel? she was pretty shaken up."

"lorcan made her drink a sleeping draught."

"oh. i'm coming back, don't worry."
