Chapter 16-Kids?

Mira POV

"And what do you think you two are doing?" I say staring down at Natsu and Lucy who are in their own little worlds. I may say that they do make a perfect couple.

"Why aren't you in class?" They slowly turn their heads to me. Guilt is written all over their faces and they know they are in big trouble.

"Aunt Mira how are you? Please don't say anything to the principal" Natsu says in a pleading tone.

"That isn't going to work with me Natsu. Lucy I expected more from you being Mr Heartfilia's daughter" I feel bad for ruining their moment but this isn't something I can take lightly.

"I beg of you Miss Strauss. Please don't tell my Dad, he will go nuts."

"I'm sorry Lucy but I have too. Now can you two please follow me." I say to them. They obediently get up and begin to follow me to the front office.

Reaching the front office I head for the principals office and knock on his door. "Come in" Says a booming voice from inside the room.

I open the door and walk in with the two students still following me. "I found these two skipping class out near the old oak tree at the far end of the school"

"Thank you Miss Strauss you may now leave" I leave the room and close the door behind me. I really do hope they aren't punished too badly.

It was only a coincidence that I found them though. I was only walking out there because I needed time to think.

Flashback

"Hello my lovely, how has your day been so far?" I hear a familiar, muscular voice from just in front of me. I was looking down at papers, marking them as usual.

Laxus stands there in front of me. This brings a smile to my face. "Well the usual, dealing with snotty teens and then I see you and it is all worth the while" I reply.

"I have to agree that they are snotty nosed. I've had ten sick ones today, you would think they would grab the chance of staying home" Laxus says sitting at the end of my desk.

"They probably get bored staying at home with their parents. I know that that's how it used to be at my house" I say slightly giggling to myself while quickly marking a bit more of what seems to be a D grade paper.

"Have you ever thought of being a parent?" He says catching me off guard. I don't even no how to reply to something like that, it isn't something I have really thought of.

"I'm too busy to think of having kids.......why do you ask?" I respond after what seems like a very long time.

"Well I've given it thought and I wouldn't mind having kids, especially with you" Laxus says all too seriously.

"Laxus, I have a job to uphold. I don't have time for getting pregnant and having a child. Don't get me wrong I will probably have children one day but this is way too soon" My voice begins to loudon and become more stern. Maybe I'm being a bit rude but this is something that Laxus obviously hasn't thought through.

"Mira, what about me? I might not want a child later. I want us to have a child and complete the family, show your father that I am worthy of your hand."

"Is that all you care about, getting my fathers blessing? I guess its because he is the wealthiest man in all of Fiore. Well if that's the only reason we are together then I'm not staying in this relationship any longer" I slam my things onto my desk and slam the class door behind me as I head to the far end of the school to get away from him.

"Mira wait" I hear him call to me but I don't look back. He does not deserve my time or my money.

I can't believe he was going to trick me into a marriage just so he could have my money.

"Mira wait. Can we please talk?"
