El's pov:
I had to get out of that classroom, I wasn't ready to see him again. I quickly run to the washroom, and lock myself in the stall. I decided to write Mike a note so I pull out my notebook and start writing.
Mike's pov:
That was weird, I think to myself. The period is over and she still hasn't come back, the bell rings and I go and meet Dustin, Will, and Lucas at my locker. "Hey guys." "Hey" they all say in unison, trying not to make eye contact. "Is everything all right?" "You guys are acting really weird." I ask them "Nothing." Dustin says he's always been a bad liar but I didn't push him.
I open my locker and a note falls out, I open it and it says 'meet me but the bike rack after school - the new girl.' I asked the guys if they knew about this but they said they didn't.
El's pov:
When I finished writing the note and I put it in Mike's locker, the bell rang and I hid around the corner waiting for Mike to see the note. Lucky that was last period so I can't chicken out.
Mike goes to his locker, and talks to the guys, he finally opens his locker for what feels like forever. I can see his face go straight to confusion, as he's reading the note. I quickly run over to the bike rack to meet Mike, it feels like forever before I see him walk over.
Mike's pov:
I finally walk over to the bike rack with the boys, an in an instant I see the new girl. She has her back turned. "hey, why did you want to meet?" Before she can answer me Hopper tells her to get in the car. She still has her back turned and as she's walking away she tells her to meet at meerkwood at 10, and in an instant shes gone.
El's pov:
Before I can tell Mike, Hopper comes to get me, I quickly tell him where to meet me and I'm gone. "Does Mike know it's you yet?" Hopper asks me, "no, but he will find out eventually." "I know, but he might react badly." and with that we were home. I sat in my room the rest of the night until 10.
