I am currently driving Derek's Camero with Scott in the back and Stiles in the passenger seat. Derek had gotten a lead on the Alpha, so he asked me to distract the hunters, because let's face it he didn't trust Scott or Stiles not to crash his car. Kate Argent is following close behind us.
"Faster?" I ask the boys
"Much faster," Stiles replies, I shift gears and speed up.
"Dani, I don't think you're grasping the concept of the car chase here," Stiles says
"If I go faster, I'll kill us," I say the same time Scott says
"If she goes faster, she'll kill us"
"Well, if she doesn't go faster, they're gonna kill us!"
I speed up.
"They're gone." Stiles points out
"All units, suspect is on foot heading into the Iron Works." Sheriff says on the police radio Stiles 'borrowed'
We soon pull up to the Iron Works and see Derek using a forklift as a shield because the asshole Chris Argent is shooting at him.
"Get in!" Stiles yells while getting in the back.
Derek gets in just as Argent starts shooting at us with a machine gun. Thank God for bulletproof windows.
"What part of laying low don't you understand?" Scott asks
"Damn it, I had him!" Derek yells as he hits the dashboard with his fist
"Who, the Alpha?" Stiles asks
"Yes! He was right in front of me, and the freaking police showed up."
"Whoa, hey, they're just doing their jobs -"
Derek glares at Stiles and turns to Scott saying, "Yeah, thanks to someone who decided to make me the most wanted fugitive in the entire state."
"Can we seriously get past that?" Scott asks
"No, not ever," I say
"I made a dumbass mistake. I get it." Scott says
"Mistake?! A mistake is dropping mom's glass bowl on the floor, blaming an innocent person for murder is just evil"
"All right."Stiles yells "How did you find him?"
Derek looks at Stiles and scoffs and doesn't answer, I smirk and he winks at me.
"Can you try to trust us for at least half a second?" Scott asks
"Yeah, all of us" Stiles adds, Derek glares at him again
"Or just Dani. We'll be back here."
"Look, the last time I talked to my sister, she was close to figuring something out. She found two things. The first was a guy named Harris." Derek tells us
"Our chemistry teacher?" Stiles asks as I raise an eyebrow in confusion
"Why him?" Scott asks
"I don't know yet," Derek says sounding frustrated
"What's the second?" I ask
