Wolves Of War Book 1: As War Begins

1x10: Co-Captain

Derek and I follow Peter out of the hospital, I hold Derek's hand tightly, he keeps glancing at me every now and then, making sure I'm ok. We get into the back of Peter's, well Peter's nurse's car.

"Don't want to sit up front?" He asks us, we stay silent, holding onto each other.

"Very well then, we have to go talk to Scott, where is he?" We continue to stay silent. Peter turns and growls at us. "tell me!"

"He's at the school," Derek says pulling me closer kissing my hair.

"Very good"

We soon reach the school and head into the boys' locker room, Peter cuts the power and grabs a lacrosse stick, Derek leads me to stand by the showers.

"Danny?" I hear Scott ask, Derek, rolls a lacrosse ball onto the floor.

"What the hell -" Scott says, Scott walks over to the showers, holding the ball.

"Thank God! Where the hell have you been? Do you have any idea what's been going on?"Scott asks us as he walks up to us. Peter walks out behind him with a lacrosse stick

"I really don't get Lacrosse," Peter says

"It was you -" Scott says looking at him

"When I was in high school, we played basketball. There's a real sport. Still, I read somewhere that Lacrosse comes from Native Americans tribes and that they played it to resolve conflict. I have that right?" Peter says playing with the stick "Hm. I have l little conflict of my own to resolve, Scott." Peter puts the stick down, looking at Scott "But I need your help to do it"

"I'm not helping you kill people," Scott replies

"Well, I don't want to kill all of them. Just the responsible ones. And that doesn't have to include -" Peter says looking at Derek and me.

"Allison," Derek says

"You're on his side? Are you forgetting the part where he killed your sister? And Dani what the hell?!" Scott asks turning to Derek, who squeezes my hand, I give Scott an 'I'll explain later' look.

"It was a mistake," Derek says

"What?" Scott asks

"It happens," Derek replies

"Scott - I think you're getting the wrong impression of us. We really just want to help you reach your full potential." Peter says

"By killing my friends," Scott says

"Sometimes the people closest to you - can be the ones holding you back the most," Peter says, I roll my eyes

"If they're holding me back from becoming a psychotic nut job like you, I'm okay with that," Scott says

"Maybe - you could try and see things - from my perspective," Peter says, he then shoves his claws into Scott's neck and walks away, Derek follows, pulling me along.

Peter drops Derek and me off at my house and I lead Derek to my room. We sit on my bed holding each other close. Moments later Scott and Stiles barge in.

"What the hell you two?" Scott asks

"I did what I had to, to protect your sister, alright? If we didn't join him, he would have killed Dani" Derek says
