It's Saturday night and I am sitting on my bed, trying to do homework when Arabella climbs through my window.
"You're lucky I'm the only one here," I tell her.
"You doing ok? I heard what happened. Plus I felt bad for missing your birthday yesterday, especially since it was a big deal, can't believe that you are sixteen now. This is for you."
"Rori told you didn't she? It's ok, it's not that big of a deal" I say and open the box to find a set of throwing knives. I smile.
"Turning sixteen is a very big deal and I thought those knives would go great with the other weapons you secretly own and don't really need seeing as you're a werewolf. And yeah, Rori told me. Also, she's downstairs making hot cocoa"
I get off my bed and hug Arabella, "Thank you for the gift and I'll be ok"
I then follow Arabella downstairs, we find Rori setting mugs on the table. I smile as she comes and hugs me.
"I'm so sorry," She says
"It's ok"
We sit down and begin to drink the cocoa. I look at Rori, who is across from me.

"How are you holding up?" Rori asks
"As good as I can be, I miss him, all I can think about is everything we've been through and done together and what we won't"
"You really loved him then, don't deny it anyone could see it, you've loved him for years and even when you ignored each other, you never stopped," Arabella says
"You're right. You ever love somebody so much you can barely breathe?" I ask her.
"Yes, with Kalon, I feel that way"
"He is your mate and husband after all," Rori says
"With Derek, it was that way, I could barely breathe without him or with him. I loved him so much for so long and I told him once but he rejected me, then he came back here and tried to get me to love him. I should have told him the truth"
"I have to tell you something," Arabella says
"What?"
"He came back to this town to start a life with you. He told me that, he didn't just come here for Laura, he came back for you"
I break down sobbing, Arabella and Rori move and pull me into a hug as I cry.
Monday morning I wake up to my radio turning on, as an alarm. I groan and hide more into my pillow and covers, I haven't slept well in days, not since the night at the school, I miss Derek too much.
