Chapters Six

Kinley's PoV

I woke to Amber kicking and thrashing around on the couch we were sleeping on. I rolled of onto the floor and I mentally groaned to myself. I got up and looked down at Amber. She was sweating and she looked terrified. I tried to wake her up by shaking her shoulders. But it didnt work. I sighed and stood up. I glanced at the clock and it said 12:54 pm. 'Oh my god its past noon' I thought to myself.  I walked over to Jess and woke her up. "Whats going on with Amber?" she asked. I just shrugged. Thats when an idea formed in my head.

Just then the boys appeared behind us.

"Hey-". I silenced Blake with a wave of my hand. I walked to the kitchen got a glass of water and walked back to the living room. I glanced at Blake, Danny, and Flint. they knew what I was going do and they stepped back. I dumped the water on Ambers head.

"What the fu-!" she screamed. but I interrupted "Ah language Amber." she glared up at me,

"What was that for?" she asked through gritted teeth.

"Well we couldn't wake you up." she groaned and sat up.

"Well, why didnt you try shaking me or something?" she asked glaring at me. I had to keep from laughing. She was so adorable when she was mad. Her eyes would burn bright and she would get really red. But if you made her really mad then you better watch out.

She groaned again and stood up and walked to the kitchen.

"You guys were still sleeping at this hour? Its like noon". Danny said looking at us.

"Dude we've slept till like four in the afternoon." They stood there surprised.

"Kinley, Jess you want some cereal?" Amber shouted from the kitchen.

"Amber why do you ask even if you know the answer to that question?" Jess yelled back. Amber came walking in with a bowl of cereal. She shrugged and sat down on the couch. Jess and I walked to the kitchen to get breakfast. Blake, Danny and Flint made their selves comfortable, there was no rush. I poured my cereal and grabbed the sugar and just piled it in. I walked back to the living room and sat down.

I took a bite of cereal and immediately started choking. The boys jumped as I started coughing. Jess came in patted me on the back then walked back to the kitchen. The boys looked horrified and Amber was sitting there laughing like she was high.

"What's so funny?" Blake asked glaring at Amber.

"I switched the salt and sugar because I know how much she loves sugar."

I just glared and got up to throw my cereal away and settled for an apple. I guess I deserved that shes so grumpy when she gets up. One time we were at a friends house and we were sharing a bed, and I shoved her into the wall to wake her up. I had a bruise on my arm for two weeks. She's dangerous in the morning. But she knows she loves me no matter what I do.

I got up and went to change out of my clothes from yesterday. I grabbed my bag and went to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror my eyes were brown with gold specks here and there. I was jealous of Ambers teal eyes. Which was funny because she wanted my brown eyes. Hers were so pretty. I brushed out my hair, brushed my teeth, and changed. I was wearing a light sweatshirt that was grey with green sleeve, blue skinny jeans, and purple high tops.

I walked out of the bathroom and past Amber who was headed to the bathroom. I walked to the living room and set my bag down. I had packed some clothes my notebook, colored pens, sharpies and a brush. I walked over to the case that held my swords. I opened it and picked up my swords that I swung on to my back in an X shape. I then but on my back pack. I heard the bathroom door open and Amber walked out.

She was wearing a light sweat shirt like mine but it was grey. She was wearing skinny jeans her DC high tops and her hair was down. Her fair fell below shoulders and she had side bangs like mine. She walked to her case and pulled out her quiver. We had found out last night that her quiver was enchanted and never ran out of arrows. She strapped it on to her back and the placed her backpack over it so her arrows were still accessible.

"Iam going to wait in the backyard". She said and walked to the backdoor picked up her soccer ball and walked out. I followed as did the boys. We were still waiting for Jess to get ready. I walked out and saw Amber doing some soccer tricks. She kicked me the ball and I passed it back. Next thing you know we were trying to score a goal. We used he neighbors fence as the goal. Amber and just scored a goal as Jess walked out. She was wearing a blue tshirt with jeans and black converse.

"Are we ready now nobody forgot anything? Because were not coming back anytime soon." Blake said looking at us. "Wait! Hang on I did!" Amber said as she ran back in the house. About five minutes later she ran back out. Blake looked bored.

"What did you forget?" he asked.

"I forgot to say bye to Lucy." she replied innocently.

"You've got to be kidding me. Can we go now?" he asked irritated.

"Yup", Amber said popping the P. Amber loved Lucy they had a special bond no one could understand.

"Alright get into a circle", he said. We did what he said. He threw some gold powder stuff intovthe air. As it settled I felt like I was flying. It felt amazing but weird at the same time. Then my feet hit the ground.
