PERSONAL BACKGROUND: Jaejae was born in Daegu as the younger brother. He was one of the top students in the honor rolls in high school. He joined a dance academy when he was 13, even though his parents preferred him to sing instead of dancing. They gave him singing lessons from a singing academy as well as his dancing lessons. He won first place the 2013 JYP Open Auditions and got in as a trainee, but then was kicked out of the company for multiple absences during practice.

TRIVIA ABOUT JAEJAE: - He is super ticklish (especially on the neck). - He is now obsessed with South American culture. - His future career, according to him, would be flower arranger. - His hype song is B.A.P's "That's My Jam". - He is good at making ramen. - He is not very flexible. - He speaks Korean and English. - He is close friends with Minho from WINNER and Youngjae from B.A.P. - His brother is an Idol from BEIGE Entertainment, FIRE's Jai. - He likes the color blue. - He gently hits his chest when he's nervous to go onstage or to an interview. - He loves the ballad group, 4MEN. - He often stays up late just to have a midnight snack. - He sometimes likes to do color therapy. - He has a stuffed Pooh Bear he sleeps with every night.
HOBBIES: Jaejae likes graphic designing, and enjoys listening to music, thinking about life, playing games, watching movies, and flower arranging.
SPECIAL TALENTS: Jaejae is flexible, and he can play the viola and is good at sewing.
PRE-DEBUT ACTIVITIES: - Jaejae was casted in 'Angry Mom' as an extra character. - He entered many dance comps when he was in middle school. - Jaejae also appeared once during ACE TV Season 1 as one of the trainees.
IDEAL TYPE: Jaejae doesn't necessarily have a legit ideal type but he does like people who genuinely likes him, not for his looks, but for his personality. He tends to like those who are supportive of him and Jaejae would totally fall for someone who believes in his work and him in general.
