The Upside Down once showed the brave people of Hawkins what their future could hold: death, destruction, decay. In the final fight against the monster inside (the Mind Flayer, the Shadow Monster, the Darkness), Eleven dies to ensure its demise.
Two years later, a new threat emerges: an ally world of the Upside Down. Its creatures lurk in the shadows, in the ignorant belief that they will see the return of the Upside Down without a fight.
Jade Oaks moves to Hawkins from Indianapolis, expecting a much quieter change than she receives. She expects to live on as she always has—not to discover that she has a very real power, or to fall in love for the first time, or to have the weight of the world placed on her shoulders.

According to the timeline of the ending I have assigned for this fanfiction, season four would have taken place in 1985, where Eleven finds the ultimate weapon to kill the Upside Down—but, in doing so, she dies too. What I have created will be easily distinguishable. If you are here from the future, discard what you know after season two: It will not stand in this book.
This story takes place two years after the defeat of the Upside Down (1987). This ending is purely the work of my imagination.
