Chapter 7

*Matt's POV*

I can't believe Maddy kissed Nash. When I saw her kiss back, it broke my heart. They kissed for like 20 seconds so I broke the silence. She blushed and then looked at me when she pulled away. I just looked away. I was going to make a move in the closet but they fricken found us. I should've done it earlier. Now she probably likes Nash, and Nash obviously likes her. I can't let this happen. I want her.

We played a few more rounds and Rosie ended up making out with Taylor. The way I saw him looking at Maddy made me think if he likes her too.

"Do you guys want to order pizza?" Cam asked everyone. We all agreed and he picked up the phone to order it. I decided to go over to Maddy. Everyone else was distracted and she was just sitting on the couch on her phone. Now is my chance.

"Hey." I said. Her head shot up and she gave me a huge smile once she looked at me. She was so beautiful I couldn't stand it.

"Hey. Sit down." She patted a space next to her and took it. We sat in silence for a few seconds just being entertained by all the guys.

"They are so stupid." She said laughing. Her laugh was a adorable. I just wanted some time alone with her. Then I got an idea.

"Do you wanna hang out in your room instead? It's probably a lot more quiet then in here." She looked at me with her blue eyes.

"Sure." She took my hand and lead me towards the door.

"We'll be back later!" I yelled. None of the guys replied so we just went to her room. When we got there she jumped on her bed and turned on the tv.

"Let's watch a movie." She said.

"Ok but it can't be a chick-flick."

"Trust me, I wasn't planning on it." She said. She started flipping through the channels and I saw The Conjuring.

"The Conjuring." I said pointing to the screen. She look at me like she just saw a ghost.

"Are you fricken kidding me?! That practically got scariest movie award! I'm not watching that."

"Oh c'mon Maddy! I'll protect you." I said smiling. She glared at me and then sighed.

"Fine." She said rolling her eyes.

"Yes! Thank you!" She clicked on the movie and rented it for 24 hours. Then she pressed play. We turned off the lights and laid on top of the bed. We didn't cuddle or anything, cause I mean we weren't that close, but I wanted to so bad. She was beautiful. I wanted to hold her hand, wrap her in my arms, hold her close... I want her to be mine.

We weren't even 10 minutes into the movie and she was already squeezing a pillow, holding it so that it covers her whole face except for her eyes. She was distracted by the movie so I took that chance to admire her gorgeous blue eyes. The way the light of the tv made them glow made me melt. I looked back to the movie. I've seen The Conjuring before, so I know when the scary scenes are, and one of them was coming up. Maddy looked so scared, I felt bad. I decided to make a move. I wrapped my arm around her and she quickly moved into me. It felt so good to be able to hold her. I started counting down from 5 in my head when something was going to pop out. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

"AAAHHH!!" Maddy screamed. She looked away and buried her head in my chest, hugging me. She was so tense. I started laughing.

"It's okay Maddy, it's okay." I began to rub her back and I felt her relax beneath me. She looked up from my chest. I wanted to kiss her so bad, it hurt, but I didn't want to ruin anything, like her rejecting me. I wanted to stay in this moment forever. For the rest of the movie, we stayed like that. Once the movie ended she sat up and I was actually really upset.

"I can't believe you made me watch that." Maddy said as she walked into the bathroom.

"Oh come on it wasn't that scary!" I said challenging her.

"Oh really?" She poked her head out from the door. "How about when you jumped when that monster thing came out of no where?"

"Okay, okay." I said holding my hands up in defeat. "So I was scared a little bit." She just giggled and hopped on the bed.

"We should go back to the room. The guys might be wondering where we are." She said starting to walk towards the door. I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to me.

"Nooo," I whined. "I like spending time alone with you. You're so much better than all the guys."

"Hmmm. No we have to get back." She said smirking. With that, I tackled her onto the bed and started tickling her.

"Matt!... Stop!.... Pleeeaaseee!!..." She said in between laughs.

"Nope! Not till you say you'll stay here with me!" She was still laughing and I joined because she was just too cute.

"Fine! Fine!" I stopped tickling her. She caught her breath and managed to say, "I hate you." while smiling.

"Oh but you love me." We laid down on the bed in unison and I brought her close to me. She snuggled up next to me and we laid there in silence. Suddenly I heard a familiar voice.

"Maddy?"

Nash.

Hhhmmm 😏 what's gonna happen?
