I Want You

Anthony's P.O.V.

"Veo que le has enseñado español. (I see you've taught him Spanish)" I said breaking the silence in the car.

"¿Qué puedo decir? Él es un aprendiz rápido. (What can I say he's a fast leaner)" V answers not even sparing me a glance.

"¿Quién es el padre? (Who's the father)" I ask, I couldn't help it any more.

"No importa. (Doesn't matter)" she responds still looking at the road.

"Si importa. (It does matter)" I insist.

What kind of guy gets a girl pregnant and leaves?

"Anthony, estamos bien sin él. (Anthony, we're doing just fine without him)" she said finally taking her eyes off of the road and smiling.

 "Créeme. (Trust me)"  Valerie said, returning her eyes to the road.

"Excuse me." Ashley cuts in.

What does she want now?

"It's rude to talk about people right in front of them." she said crossing her arms.

Val beat me to it for the response.

"No todo se trata de ti, princesa. (Everything isn't about you, princess.)" she said in Spanish, to annoy Ashley more.

"What did I just say?" Ashley asked slightly raising her voice.

"Bendito, ¿qué pasa? ¿Anthony no te dio las perlas adecuadas? (Poor baby, What wrong Anthony didn't give you the right pearls?)" V said unfazed and in a sympathetic tone.

Ashley huffs and sits back while Cole and I laughed.

There's something about that kid, I don't know what it is.

But in some way, I feel connected.

I thought to myself looking back at him.

"We're here." Valerie's voice interrupted my thoughts. 

She stops at Starbucks and gets out.

Cole rushes out, not before helping Ruby out of the car.

He then runs to the store, with us trailing behind.

Once we got into the store, Val went to the counter to talk to the clerk.

The clerk pointed up, and Val told us to stay there.

Cole brought us to 'His Booth'.

Ashley, unfortunately, sat next to me while Ruby and Cole sat next to each other. 

We looked like the perfect family.

I take that back.

The perfect family would be with Val and I.

But it's to late.

Somebody already got to her.

Somebody already touched Valerie.

My Valerie.

I was brought back into reality by two little boys running toward us.

"Ha! I won Mason." a little boy said.

"Your legs are longer Dylan!" the other boy said, I'm guessing his name is Mason.

"Guys don't fight! Not in front of Ruby!" Cole said covering Ruby's eyes.

The boys stopped and looked over at Cole and Ruby.

"Gomen'nasai! (Sorry!)" thee said bowing.

"Japanese?" I said, more like asked.
