I Never Loved You

Anthony's P.O.V.

Valerie and I rush into the hospital .

She immediately rushes to the desk and requests for the main doctor.

What the hell happened I think while Val is pacing back and forth.

She stops and looks at a woman heading our way.

"Ms.Castillo, what brings you here?" she asks.

"My son he was brought here by Alexandra where is he?" Val ask rushing her words.

"He's in critical condition, I have a good doctor working on him." the doctor responded.

"Amy I own this hospital, whenever a family member is involved I want you working on them. 'Good isn't enough. Got it?" V  said stepping closer to her.

"I'm sorry this won't happen again." Amy said before rushing off to Cole's room.

I trailed behind Val.

"Hey! What do you mean you own the hospital." I whisper yelled, not wanting to attract attention.

"My parents own hospitals around the country. Since they passed, Alexandra and I are in charge." she explain not even looking his way.

We arrive at Cole's room and Amy goes to relieve the doctor of his role.

I stop and look at the board.

I grab Val's hand and spin her back around.

"HE'S A MARTINEZ!?" I ask/scream at her.

"Yes." she said through her gritted teeth.

"Who the hell is his father? And don't even say its not important.

She scoffs and walks into the room.

I follow her but stop at the doorstep.

She suddenly breaks down in tears.

I look around her to see Cole on the bed with tubes and wires hooked up to him.

I feel a piece of me break.

I look around the room to see Ruby, Dylan,Mason, Alexandra, Isabelle, Mikey, my mother and my father.

They were all teary eyed.

I walk over to Alexandra and pulled her out of the room.

"How did this happen?" I asked with my arms crossed over my chest.

"I left Ashley with the kids to get my phone. A-And when I c-c-came back down I saw Cole on the street with blood gushing out of him. Ashley was just sitting there with her headphones in. She wasn't even worried." she said the last part while clenching her fist.

"One last thing." I said before she turned back to the room.

"Who's Cole's father?" I ask now looking her in the eyes.

"Anthony I...." Alex starts but, trials off looking away.

"Please," I said now begging.

"I need to know." I said walking closer to her.

"You are." she says in a quiet voice before walking back into the room.

I froze.

I didn't know whether to smile, cry, or punch.

I decided to do all three.

I punched the wall to get through my anger of not being in his life until today.
