"You know what would be a great idea," Jen said, after they'd all sat down, "some music."

"Music," Dean repeated, unimpressed. "All right, fine, just don't make it total crap."

Letting out a mental yes!, Jen grabbed her iPad from where she'd left it on the table and flipped it open. She figured they should probably stick to the music that would have a little less.... angsty.... meaningful.... meaning. Unfortunately, almost all of her music reminded her, in some way, of Supernatural. That was why she'd chosen it. Let's see...

On Top of the World (by Imagine Dragons) was what Jen decided on. It was a pretty happy song. She turned the volume up and hit play, then closed her iPad cover and set the device next to her plate as upbeat music began to play. (You should really listen to the song if you haven't heard it, it's great)

The grilled cheese sandwiches that Gabriel had snapped up tasted great. The cheese was Jennifer's favorite (extra sharp white cheddar), the bread was perfectly crispy, and the sandwiches didn't seem to get cooler as time passed; they remained deliciously warm. Gabe looked extremely pleased with himself when Jen voiced the last observation aloud.

If you love somebody
Better tell them while they're here
'cause they just may run away from you

Okay, oops, Jen had kinda forgotten that part. And how much it could be applied to Dean and Cas. But it was fine, no one seemed to have noticed. She continued scarfing down her sandwich.

You'll never know quite when, well
Then again it just depends on
How long of time is left for you

Who knew how much time she had left? She had to help a bunch of people whose main talent was dying to save the world stop Satan from getting his kid and killing everyone. And she was only fourteen (and a half), and not in great shape.

I've had the highest mountains
I've had the deepest rivers
You can have it all but life keeps moving

Which reminded her, her birthday was in February, and she'd been brought over to this universe on the night of October first... in her universe. So, what was the time of year here? Was it spring? And where would that put her birthday...? Ugh, this was too much math.

I take it in but don't look down

'Cause I'm on top of the world,
I'm on top of the world,
Waiting on this for a while now
Paying my dues to the dirt
I've been waiting to smile,

Jen couldn't help but grin at this line, she never could.

Been holding it in for a while,
Take you with me if I can
Been dreaming of this since a child

Hells yeah, she'd been dreaming of being here. Not since she was a child, more like... since she'd binged the final eight seasons of Supernatural in like three weeks, but... details.

I'm on top of the world.

Well, she thought, glancing at Dean and Castiel, someone would certainly be on top of-- what the actual ducking fudge, brain? Shut up. Jennifer really, really hated her brain sometimes.

I've tried to cut these corners
Try to take the easy way out
I kept on falling short of something
