A few days had passed since Julia almost broke Lauren's nose, which she received a phone call about from Jeff and Nick who reminded her how damaging that could have been to the show and she's lucky or they would have killed her themselves. Lauren guessed they had the sunset to thank for the fact that everyone was alive and has no broken bones.

The sunset must really be working its magic on them because things have been going very well during rehearsals. They already had most of Act 1 completely down, and had the vocals to an entire song memorized. Today's rehearsal was going by pretty slowly but Nick told them if they worked really hard he'd let them all take a few days off, so everyone was goofing off way less than normally.

Everyone besides Rachael and Lauren were currently working on a scene where McDoon had kidnapped the wagon daughter, so the two girls sat up higher in the theatre so they could watch, but mostly so they could talk without being disruptive. The scene was taking longer to figure out than usual and Lauren could tell Joey was getting stressed and agitated, especially since they had been at the theatre for about 10 hours now.

"So any new relationships in your life, son?" Rachael asked Lauren raising her eyebrows knowingly.

"God no," she laughed, "just the same old boring life of Lauren like always."

Rachael made a humming noise with her mouth and gave her a look that seemed like she knew something Lauren didn't.

"Well I have a date tomorrow." Rachael said trying to hide the huge ass grin that started taking over her face.

"No way! With who?" Lauren said, keeping herself from jumping up excitedly.

"I guess you'll find out when you decide to tell me the truth." Rachael laughed and winked at her, standing up to go down to the stage. Lauren hadn't even noticed Nick had called them down.

She followed Rachael the short distance to the stage and walked to stand next to Joey giving him a look that seemed to ask if he was okay. He must have been able to know what she was thinking because he nodded his head and held his arms out for a hug. They stood hugging each other but enough of a not hug where they could still see Nick the entire time he was talking.

"Okay guys! Great rehearsal today. I think you guys deserve a good break so I'm gonna give you a three day weekend!"

Lauren kind of zoned out the rest of what Nick said because her head shot up to look at Joey and he was grinning like he may have just won the lottery. Nick told them to get the hell out of the theatre and enjoy our time off. Lauren yelled at Rachael and told her to have fun on her date and almost everyone wolf whistled and hollered at her making her turn a very dark shade of red to only flip her off, roll her eyes, and head out the door. The rest of them laughed and bid each other goodbye. Jaime walked up to Lauren as she was grabbing her stuff and told her she wouldn't be home tonight so don't wait up for her and gave her a big hug before she left.

"Looks like it's just me and you, kid." Joey said throwing his arm around Lauren as they headed out and waved bye to Nick.

"When isn't it just me and you at this point, JoJo?" she said throwing my arm around his waist. He laughed and escorted her to his rental car only to split up when they got to the front so they could get in.

"So." Joey said after turning on the car to just turn and stare at hee.

"Soooo?" Lauren said back, staring at him not knowing what he was saying at all.

"Lauren!" Joey said in his pouty voice and being sure to drag out the "n" of her name.

"Joey!" she said back the exact same way, trying to mock him in how he was sitting by crossing her arms and puffing out her cheeks. They sat like that a few more minutes before Joey broke and started laughing which quickly made Lauren laugh too.
