Chapter 2: Did I startle you?

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been busy with my stupid civics class. Oh well, that's life right? Anyways here is Chapter 2 :D

Lucy's POV

I'm making my way to Natsu's, praying that there are other people there already

"Natsu!" I shout to him, I swear I heard a thud when I called to him. Oh well never mind that "Natsu! come to the stairs!"

"Yeah yeah yeah, I'm coming" I hear him call back to me. "Come up here" I hear with a slight 'hesitation'? I think

For some reason I found myself saying "coming right up, a nice and hot Lucy coming your way" Why did I say that?? Next thing I knew I was walking up the stairs

Then I fell...

Next thing, I was in Natsu's arms crying my eyes out

Natsu brings me over to the couch, and lays me down next to him "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yes..." I say slowly, "I think" I dug myself into Natsu's chest. It felt so good, but I don't know why

"Lucy" Natsu says slowly "I need to tell you something" he grasps my hand firmly

"What?" I say with a bit of a grin on my face

"It's about how I saved you.." he says calmly

"What do you mean?"

Natsu stayed silent for a minute, "look at the top of the stairs" I looked over at the top, and I was shocked by what I saw

Burn marks...

"What are those?..." I ask quietly

"I umm" Natsu stops "shot fire out of my hands..."

'Oh my Mavis' I thought, 'How is this even possible' I glanced over to see that his hands were glowing a reddish orange colour

"I know you're probably wondering how, but listen. I don't even know how" Natsu clenching his hands 'all I know is' I thought
