Catch Me || Luke Hemmings

Chapter Three

After a few more band practices Luke had decided to join the band which I was all for, his voice sounded amazing and I really believed they could make it big, that is if they do the right things at the right times.

The past couple of weeks I had gotten a lot closer with Luke, we had planned that I go to his house later today to hang out and watch films and eat pizza, I loved the sound of this, my favourite things all at the same time.

It was 4 pm and I was planning on leaving my house at 5:30 pm to get to Luke's, I had plenty of time to get ready.

My phone buzzed signalling a text, I picked my phone up off my bed and looked at it;

From : Lukeeee

"pepperoni or margarita ?? xx"

I thought for a moment; I loved both of the choices, I may have sounded greedy but when it comes to pizza there's only really one answer,

To : Lukeeee

"both ? ;) xx"

I clicked send and tossed my phone back onto my bed, making my way to the shower.

I stayed in the shower for almost half an hour not being able to bring myself out of the warm water, I eventually did though and wrapped my body in a towel and dried my hair.

I picked out some jean shorts from my drawers and a Nirvana shirt and a plaid shirt for over the top, I got changed and braided my hair to the side before pinning my fringe back, I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my phone checking the time, 4:56 pm I had a while before I had to leave for Luke's so I got out Divergent and continued to read from where I had gotten up to.

My phone buzzed again, another message from Luke,

From : Lukeeee

"ofc anything for Kat ;)) xx"

I decided not I reply, I didn't know what to say back so I smiled and continued reading.

At about 5pm I got a call from Calum,

"Hey Kat" he spoke into the phone and I could hear him smile,

"Hey cal, how's you?" I asked fiddling with the hem of my shirt,

"I'm good, you still going to Luke's?" He questioned, I had told Calum of Luke and I's arrangements last night, after all he is my best friend,

"Yeah I am, why?" I replied,

There was a muffled sound as i presumed Calum was switching ears,

"Well, I only ask because I think he has a crush on you" Calum may be on the other side of the phone but I could tell he was smirking.

"What! Really?" I said feeling butterflies in my stomach,

"Yeah he told me In Games the other day" Calum spoke

"what exactly did he say?" I questioned I wanted to know everything that they had discussed,

"He kinda jogged over to me and we started talking about random stuff then he asked if you had a boyfriend which is weird because I'm sure he would have been able to tell if you did, anyway I said no, obviously, and he smiled so I was like 'what are you smiling about?' And he just went 'because I think I fancy Kat' so I smiled at him and stuff and then he span around and shouted, 'I FANCY KAT' you know with his arms outstretched I don't know it was weird but sweet you get me?" Calum explained, I was speechless, Luke Hemmings fancied me?

I couldn't quite believe it, I let out a small laugh,

"He actually likes me?" I exclaimed into the phone.

"Yes. And it's obvious you fancy him too; you guys should just go out" Calum laughed,

"Id love that but we've only know each other a few weeks, I don't wanna rush in" I sighed, I fancied him but I wasn't sure if I was ready for a relationship with him, right now I enjoyed being a close friend of his. If we dated and it went wrong I wouldn't want our friendship to be ruined.

at 6:30 Luke and I had eaten both the pizzas and a tub of cookie dough icecream.

"I feel so sick" I groaned letting out a sigh,

"Aw is there anything i can do to help?" Luke asked awkwardly.

He'd been acting a bit different tonight; I guessed he'd figured that I knew he fancied me but I couldn't be sure.

I groaned, "do you have a big pillow?" I asked leaning back into the sofa,

"I'm afraid not however there is me" he chuckled,

"I really doubt you can be a good pillow" I replied,

"No harm in seeing eh?" He smirked, his arm snaked round my waist as he pulled me closer to him, I laid my head on his chest and brought my feet onto the sofa.

I pulled the blanket from the end of the sofa and pulled it over myself, snuggling into Luke more.

I sighed in content closing my eyes,

"See didn't i tell you" Luke said in an 'I told you so' voice,

"Mhm" I replied, In the past couple of minutes I realised how tired I actually was; it may only be 6:30 ish but I was shattered.

"My tummy hurts" I whined burying my face into Luke's chest like a 5 year old,

"Aw kat" he said sympathetically stroking my hair gently,

I yawned rather loudly and closed my eyes again, I could feel myself drifting off to sleep, Luke fiddling with my hair, humming a tune and the sound of his perfect heartbeat in my ears.
