Kevin smelled the scent of Mitch's blood moon episode and immediately stopped chopping vegetables to grab a bottle of water.

His episodes we're usually very painful.

Except this time he didn't need to help him.

He walked out the kitchen to see Avi with furrowed brows. Mated Sires never reacted drastically to other Fledglings episodes, because most of their instincts are for their marked Fedglings.

They only go haywire if they haven't bit the certain Fledgling and claimed them.

"Hey, uh, am I going to help Mitch or not?" Kevin asked confused as he smelled his episode hit it's painful peak and disappear almost immediately.

"Uh... not." Avi shook his head. Kirstie giggled.

"Why not? Aren't his super painful?"

"Just keep doing whatever you were doing, Kevin."

The keeper hesitantly nodded before speaking, "Well... Ok than, if your sure, Sire."

With Avi's nod he headed off to the kitchen still quite confused, but after a while focused back on the task at hand.

Just as he pulled the spoon out of the pot after stirring it he went to set it down, but not before hearing a muffled 'daddy'.

Immediately knowing who it was Kevin flinched, the spoon clattering on the ground.

Hearing Avi and Kirstie's laugh afterwards made complete sense to him as to why Avi told him not to help.

Imagine if he went.

He shivered and forced the thoughts out of his head, that's an image he never wants to see.

Just then the knock off Jesus comes strolling in the kitchen with a smirk on his face, "You might want to grab that water bottle again."

At Kevin's disgusted face he laughs and saunters out throwing a quick "make it two!" over his shoulder.

"Lord give me strength."

Needless to say, they didn't end up eating dinner with the rest of the clan.

It was the next day, everyone was still sleeping when Mitch woke up.

Checking the digital clock on his bedside table he grimaced when it said 7 am.

He was the sleeper that once woken up, he cant go back to sleep.

So he just laid there in Scott's arms thinking for a long time until he felt him shift around, signaling that he was awake.

Until he realized he was still naked and quickly grabbed Scott's shirt that was on the floor.

The blonde squinted at the bright light shining on his face through the window before he felt Mitch practically shoot out of bed. "What are you doing?"

"Huh? Oh. Uh. Putting on your shirt. Is that okay, Sire?"

Scott was confused for a second but nodded. It was still early but he knew Mitch better than anyone so he assumed that the brunette couldn't sleep when he woke up.

He watched Mitch go into the bathroom before throwing his head back on the pillow and falling asleep for another 2 hours.

When Mitch went downstairs to greet the rest of Pentatonix he found they were already eating breakfast peacefully.

"You had fun?" Avi said with a mouthful of eggs. Kirstie, who was sitting on his left, nudged his shoulder whispering to him telling her Sire not to tease them.

"Um, should I get him a plate, Av?" Kevin smiled at the Fledgling still dressed in Scott's shirt.

"Nah, I'll do it since Blondie decided sleep was more important than Mitch." The eldest got up after patting Kirstie's head.

It was a form of endearment or encouragement.

Mitch sat down at the table still tired and would've fallen asleep if Kirstie didn't tap his arm and lean forward saying, "Mitch, you put on pants right?"

Did he put on pants?

"Uh, yeah." I have no idea.

She just nodded and leaned back in her chair to resume eating before her Sire came back.

Upstairs Scott decided to get up and got dressed, brushed his teeth, and ran his fingers through his hair to get the knots out but didn't do anything else.

He just wanted to stay home and cuddle his Fledgling for a good couple hours.

When he went downstairs he found Mitch just finishing up his plate while Kirstie sat and chatted with him to keep him company.

He smiled and walked to the kitchen, deciding he didn't want to disturb them.

"Hey, man." A bass voice called from behind Scott making him flinch.

"Don't do that, I could've gouged your eyes out with the spoon I'm holding before I could've gotten the chance to know it was you."

"Good to know you still have a fast reflex." He chuckled before continuing. "Speaking of, it sounded like you had a lot of fun yesterday." Avi smirked.

"I'm not having this conversation with you at 9 am, lumberjack." The Sire grabbed his plate and ran out of the kitchen.
