Emily jumped into another pile of leaves, her favorite fall activity. She laughed as she rolled around making leaf angels. It was days like this, where all was at peace, no monsters, just leaves. It made everything worth it.
Tyler walked up to Emily who was now admiring the artwork she made in the leaves.
"You know you have leaves in your hair?" Tyler said.
"Yeah, I found a leaf pile and jumped into it." Emily responded and started plucking the leaves out of her hair. Tyler sighed, "Every year— what's up with you and leaf piles?" Tyler asked.
"I never really experienced fall back at home, so I feel grateful for it now. So whenever I can, I jump in leaves." Emily explained.
"That's—" Tyler was cut off by a screaming Jamie, who was dressed like a pilgrim, dragging Hali and Jessica behind him. "We're setting up a game of Indians and Pilgrims!" He said.
"I never agreed to this." Hali groaned.
"I guess I have no choice but to join." Tyler signed.
"Do I?" Emily asked.
"No. You don't." Jessica said, "If I'm doing it, and if Hali's doing it, you're doing it too."
"I still don't wanna do this. It's racist." Hali protested.
Suddenly, there was a called. "DOES ANYONE WANNA HELP MAKE FOOD!" Tris screamed.
"ME!" Both Emily and Hali screamed, anything to get out of Jamie's game.
The two girls and the non-binary person walks into the kitchen.

"Alright, who wants to do what?" Tris asks, putting their hands on their hips.
"I'm good at deviled eggs." Hali said quietly.
"Alright, Hali's on egg duty. Emily, what do you wanna do? Cause I'm doing mashed potatoes." Tris said.
"I guess I'll make the turkey..." Emily said.
"Do you know how to make turkey?" Hali asked, while getting the hard boiled eggs out.
"No, but I can follow instructions." Emily said while trying to handle the giant dead bird.
"Good luck." Tris chucked and started peeling the potatoes.
Meanwhile outside. Jamie was begging people to join his game of Pilgrims and Indians.
"Will you please do Indians and Pilgrims with me please!" He begged and cried to Carrie and Jesus, who both looked confused.
"What?" Jesus asked, "Is that some sorta game?"
"Yes." Jamie said.
"I'll play." Carrie said, "It will make the wait for the turkey go by faster."
Jamie fist pumped. "What size are you?" He quickly added.
"Wait what?" Carrie asked.
~~~
"You are not mashing the potatoes correctly." Hali said.
"HOW THE HECK DO YOU KNOW!" Tris screamed back. Suddenly, they both stopped as they both smelled smoke.
"I set the turkey on fire, guys." Emily said.
"YOU WHAT-?" Hali yelled, Tris ran over and looked at the turkey, which was literally on fire now.
"Oh gods, oh gods." They began to panic.
"PUT IT OUT!" Hali screamed.
"How?!?" Emily screamed back.
"I DUNNO! USE YOUR WATERBENDING POWERS!" Hali said, melting into a panic attack.
"I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE MY WATER POWERS! I CAN ONLY DO BOTTLE FLIPS!" Emily cried.
"Bottles!" Tris yelled and grabbed a bottle of water and poured it onto the turkey.
"I guess that works." Emily said.
"The turkey is black." Hali said.
"Oh gods." Tris said and facepalmed.
The crowd of hungry campers surrounded the table, with looks of shock and disappointment. All of them stared at Emily's burnt turkey. Suddenly, Carrie, now dressed as a Native American, shoved through the crowd and screamed, "YES TURKEY!"
And she ate the burnt turkey.
