The night in masii forest was one adventurous, we had to camp in the forest and since we were not well prepared for a night out we thought of ways of making beddings from leaves as easy as it looks it was the hardest task we've ever endured. Some of the soldiers had bee allergies that they  didn't know of Charles being one of them he got near a beehive and the worst happened not even from the bee sting he just got reddened and itchy skin just  from being in the environment, he then fell on poison ivy dragging two other soldiers nearby, the captain gathered leaves and pilled them for his bedding and little did he know that he had carried a pregnant snake the green mamba to be precise and he only realised after dropping his bedding that he had carried it and thanks to his phobia to snakes he jolted and screamed like a little girl. For those of us lucky to get good leaves we got them well and with red ants, caterpillars and termites and believe me you don't want red ants in your pants they are miracle makers. Then it began to pour so we all decided we will cramp up in the vehicle and rest when we get to vango village.

In the wee hours of the night we heard voices and they were not pleasant to the ears, then a stampede and more screaming we cut our uncomfortable night short as we headed towards the wails, it must have been someone important who died because the screams were from everyone. As we headed deeper to the forest that is when the screams became louder and louder until we saw thick smokes in the air, something was burning and the smell was horrendous, we saw people laying on the ground covered in blood, it looked like a massacre, if we wouldn't have stalled in the Forrest maybe we would have prevented this, maybe we would have helped in the fight and we would have had a good night rest.

In Fuma Ridge

I decided to start my own village in fuma ridge this would not, this way I would have control in my father village as a warrior and still own my own village, no one would suspect my moves or question my motives I get to gain both ways. Most of you think that I am selfish but according to the prophecy the king would disown his beloved blood and I am not waiting for that day to come empty handed no! I was given sight for a reason and as much as it is a secret I  would love to use it, my grandma always said"bahati nasibu" that means luck is limited or not enough hence when an opportunity arises I will never let it slip.

I have settled my cattle that was stolen, fruits and seed stolen, timber for our huts, horns, cowry shells and not to forget metal, spears arrows and shields also stolen. I took the upper part of the land because the lower region is for the animals and we share the stream it would be easier to spot them but harder to know of the rising village.

My warrior's have started making the fences more like a boundary. They have gathered thorns and wild flowers to plant around the thorns, the plants would serve as an alarm, if an animal eats it they would run wild and if a human intruder steps or comes close to them the reaction depends on how much the skin can take some would get rashes while others get itchy. My warriors know of it and the know planting them goes according to patterns and its coverage is well invented.

The sky has been gloomy darker than usual it seems the storm is approaching but then again the clouds are lighter it is a sign that whatever is coming is not good and I pray that when it hits am ready to face it.

In vango village.

All seems lost, the prince is dead, the top warriors are gone all that remains here are children and women not forgetting the elderly. Cattle and food in general is gone. When we got here we were told of the slaves that had been taken in before but the elders claim that maybe bandits were behind the attack. Many are widowed and left orphans others are left childless but as much as they mourn some celebrate, they say the prince's reign was a terror most of them do not sing praises but they hail curses to him they are now left with a choice to make a new kingdom of equality and togetherness. According to the customs a son takes over but as for this case the prince eldest daughter Mimpi takes over and as a promise she takes an oath under the baobab tree promising a better future. She knows its going to be tough but she holds her honour to her land and people. As for us we were welcomed and we became their new allies I stayed back believing that I can start a fresh with them, we can build trust from the smallest peck and more so I decided to stay back and help them build the community and help it back to its feet.

For the bandits I do not know if what they did was justifiable but what I know is that, they did this community the bigger favour although their blessing was in form of pain and anguish they have learnt that they needed each other for it. The captain and the rest of the crew decided to go back since the community had little to offer, they were going through a rough time. I remained in hopes that I will continue with the mission. Three of the soldiers remained as security and help while the rest head back. And you can guess who remained as one of the soldiers, Charles according to him the widows would need warmth and he'll provide it to them.
