The guards led us into the great hall of the palace. I was nervous. I was scared. As we came near the huge golden throne I saw an old man sitting on the throne with a golden eye patch covering his left eye. My dad whispered into my ear.

"Is that who I think this is." I nodded scared as to what my voice would sound like. I've never been terrified more in my life. Not even the times when Robin-no. This is totally irrelevant. Stop brining your life back at home up. If you don't play your cards right you might never see home again and I don't mean that Odin will offer us a place to stay here in Asgard. I mean he will kill us without even batting an eyelash. The guards came to a stop in front of the throne.

"Who are these people and why do you bring them to stand in front of me?" The guard looked up at Odin.

"These mortals come from Midgard." Odin straightened up.  I saw a woman with red hair enter the hall and stand by the pillars. She looked to her husband then to us. I guessed this must have been Frigga, his wife.

"Midgardian's in Asgard. Tell me mortal. How did you manage to get into Asgard without using the Bi-frost?" I gulped and looked up at him. I saw his two ravens, Huginn and Muninn. I took a deep breath.

"Forgive us for this All-father but we had no idea how we got into Asgard. It must have been a portal of some sort but I cannot be sure. We were walking along a beach when my father ran ahead and then next thing you know he's gone. My mother then ran after him and the same happened. I naturally had to do the same. We mean no harm." When I said 'All-father' Odin seemed a bit surprised that I had known who he was. Frigga must have noticed that too because she gave me a warm smile. I did not dare to turn my full attention to her and smile back. Odin seemed to be in thought. After a few moments he spoke up.

"Release them. Go and order the maids to prepare two chambers for them. I welcome you to stay in Asgard for the night and tomorrow you," he said pointing at me. "will take me to see where the portal has opened." I nodded.

"Forgive me but does this have anything to do with the Convergence of the nine realms?" Odin looked at the guards.

"Take her parents to their chamber I would like to have a word with her." As the guards escorted my parents outside, who were giving me worried looks, Frigga came over to me.

"What's your name my child." I smiled at her.

"It's Nyx your highness." She gave me a warm smile as Odin came down to stand next to us.

"First tell me Nyx, how do you know about us? I had thought that the Folk of Midgard had long forgotten about us, having adapted their over religions such as Christianity and Islam." A small smile crept onto my face.

"I am studying the Norse and Greek mythology and Asgard and its Gods and history play a big part in it." Odin nodded. "And the nine realms, how do you know about that?" I chuckled.

"Back in Midgard we have comics, which are books with pictures, about the adventures of Thor and of course the God of Mischief Loki. At times they can be very inaccurate but the idea is there. The nine realms are mentioned there as the Dark Elves tried to unleash the power of the Aether."  Odin seemed a bit taken aback by my knowledge.

"So tell me, how much do you know about the history of Asgard and the Gods?" By now we were walking down the halls of the palace.

"All there is to be known. Of course a lot of my information could be wrong for all I know." Odin nodded and he was about to reply to me when he was interrupted by a loud booming voice coming from behind us.

"Father!" We both turned around and came face to face with the Thunderer himself, Thor.

"Thor my son how can I help you?" Thor looked down at me. He looked nothing what I imagined him to look like. The description in the mythology was wrong. He did not have red hair, in fact he looked more like comic Thor than mythology Thor. He had long blonde hair and a stubble on his face and he had piercing blue eyes.
