In Love With Scary Face

"Hey you come here" he said.

I wondered what they were calling me for. I stood where I was and decided that I was going no where near them. One of them saw that I was not moving and started heading towards my direction.

Immediately I saw that adrenaline rushed through my body and my legs carried me at an unknown speed. I did not know where I was running to but was glad I was getting away from that group. I thought I had escaped them when I saw no one behind me only to be knocked down by a bike as I stood at a corner.

The last thing I saw was someone walking towards me then I saw black. I woke up and found myself still lying on the ground with no one in sight. I wondered what happened as I felt a sharp pain on my left hip. I looked around to confirm again if anybody was there but not a single person was around there.

I decided to walk to school that evening to get help from the dispensary which was not so far from where I was. As I was walking to the dispensary I saw someone lying on the floor. When I moved closer it was a girl and her head was bleeding. I immediately ran towards her, checked her pulse then covered her head with my sweater to prevent more bleeding. I carried her and rushed to the dispensary. Luckily the nurse was just at the front of the dispensary.

Her face was in shock when I arrived running and I stopped right at the door.

"Please help her she is bleeding a lot. She needs medical help immediately" I said.

"Bring her in I will start by cleaning and dressing the wound. Stay here and do not leave" she said.

I laid the girl on the bed and went to the waiting room for the nurse to come and brief me. After twenty minutes she came out to the waiting room.

"Do you know her?" she asked

"Yes, I bumped into her once when I was going to class one time" I said.

"Do you know her name? and what is your name?" she said

"I do not know her name. I am Arthur. Is she in a serious condition?" I asked

"No she is in a stable condition thanks to you bringing her here in time. She will be fine. What happened?" she said.

"I was attacked by some boys on my way to the dorm. On my way here I saw her lying on the ground that is when I went to check on her and I rushed her here after seeing she was bleeding and unconscious" I said.

"Her wound shows she was hit by a bat or plank of wood. I found small particles of wood as I cleaned her wound. Do you know who could have done this?" she said.

"What? I have no idea who did this. Why would someone use a bat or plank of wood to hit another person?" I said.

I woke up from the sit and I felt the pain again on my hip and the nurse noticed it. She examined it and gave me an ointment to rub on my hip. She told me not to go home and gave me a room to sleep on in the dispensary.
