Derek's POV]:

They were working very hard on the case, and Derek was as focused as he could possibly be at the time. He still couldn't get her out of his head. "I think I know why the tongues are ripped out of their mouths," Reid said. "Okay prettyboy, why?" Derek said with a silly voice. "I think he was silenced in some way as a child, maybe his mother or father didn't want him to speak, so he wants them to feel the same way he did. Call Garcia and ask her if any children were placed in a violent foster home." "Why a foster home, Reid?" Derek said, slightly confused. "He acts like he would have done after the loss of a parent or just being left behind." Morgan really wanted to call, but it was hard. In the end he took the phone and called Garcia. "Garcia at your service, what can I do you for?" She said. He could hear that her voice wasn't as fun and silly as it normally was. "It's Derek, you don't have to talk to me, I know you don't want to. But I need some information. Search through violent foster homes who silenced the children in some kind of way. Maybe 15-20 years ago." Derek said. "Okay" Garcia said, and hung up immediately. He could cry, but he didn't want to. She just hung up. It wasn't how he thought it was going to be like. Reid's phone rang, it was Garcia. It made him hurt even more inside, that she didn't just call him. Reid hung up. "Derek, we have an address." He said. Derek followed him with the rest of the team. When they got there, Morgan went in first, no one was there. And when they thought all was cleared, a gunshot was fired...
