Luffys mind

part 19

I am dead sry about the wait ive been busy but ima have a lot of time to do stuffs now so hopefully (i say dis every time) i will be able to update more frequently. I would rly like to thank Otaku_Girl2176 as she helped me figure out what to do for this next chapter as i was rly stuck on what to do.  As always i hope you enjoy my failed attempt at writing😂

The crew stared up at the monster above them with both fear and rage. After an almost awkward yet chilling amount of time the monster finally spoke once again.
"Well done, you've made it." The thing smiled a wicked smile down towards us. "I am who/what you call luffys mind. However i may how told a tiny fib earlier. Those memories that you so dedicatingly watched were never going to save you're little captain. Because you werent the only ones watching. In fact i would say that by seeing all of your reactions, watching them did the straw hat more harm than good."
Zoro swore under his breath. They were right. We should have never invaded his privacy like that. What kind of first mate am i? What kind of crew are we? How can i even say i love him when i cause him harm without even realising it? Donation to the gays. Your welcome🤗. By the looks of it, the crew were having simular inner turmoils but were immediatly snapped out of it as the wicked creature began to speak again.
"Although i am still a part of luffy and as such i have quite a liking for a challenge. Therefore i will give you a chance to win your captain back."
The crews eyes lit up with a spark of both interest and desperation. Their breaths were held tightly in their chests as if the words that would next come out of the monsters mis-shapen mouth would be life or death. And maybe they would be.
"The only way that you will be able to get your captain back is if you manage to beat me. However i am sure that that idea has already crossed your minds due to the fact that luffys precious little swordsman has been itching to draw his swords since the moment he saw  the straw hat in such a state. How curious?Although there is a catch. a catch that I am sure you are to both dislike and like. If I manage to defeat you, your lives will not be lost. That was the part of the catch I hope you should like. I'm being generous by letting you live you know. On the other hand your pretty little captain will be nothing but an empty shell for me to use. That you should dislike. I mean if you didn't dislike it then you should really put some thought as to why you are here because that would be quite concerning. Yes indeed it would be. I get how I would like this possibility but not you no not at all."
Looks of both fear and confusion lingered in the eyes of the crew. Fear of the impending doom of their captain if they were to fail and confusion as to how Luffy's mind was acting. The name Luffy's mind would suggest that he has the characteristics of their care free and happy captain but this luffy only seems to have the characteristics of insanity. He just keeps rambling and rambling but not like luffy; like a skittish rambling as if even he were confused with his thoughts.
"Well? are you gonna fight or not? Because if not then I'm afraid that you will be stuck here forever. That said I forgot to mention, there were some things that I didn't lie about that you should probably be concerned with right now. Like how I said that luffy will die if he isn't freed from me, his own mind. I would really suggest you decide on what your plan of action will be because if not soon he may die. And that would just be boring now wouldn't it?"
Robin turned towards the rest of the crew and asked the question that everyone had yet to think about. "What will happen to Luffy if we destroy his mind though. He said we may have Luffy but what type of state will he be in when we get him back. I doubt having his mind destroyed will be good for his wellbeing. Should we really destroy the one thing that holds a person together?"

Everyone began to murmur in thought. Would luffy be the same man we knew before all this? What if the luffy that comes back isn't good?" Nami questioned. Most of the crew murmured in agreement with the exception of Zoro and Sanji.

Anger flared up in Zoro at how the crew were thinking. Unable to contain his anger he was about to speak up however a certain cook spoke up first.

"Are we really gonna give up this easily?!" exclaimed Sanji. the crew ( including Zoro ) stood, jaws dropped, staring at Sanji in shock at his sudden outburst. Sanji continued "He never gave up on us. Even though I would continuously deny the proposal of becoming his chef he still never gave up. He kept persisting. He never even gave up when it seemed there was no hope of victory in order to save our floating restaurant."

that's when Zoro decided he'd had enough of hearing the crappy cooks voice. "As much as I'd hate to admit the curly brows is right, he is." That earned a glare from Sanji. Although it didn't deter him. " Luffy would never give up on us that easily. Damn he declared war against the navy for Robin. He even gave himself hypothermia whilst climbing a mountain to make sure that Nami got treatment! And you're telling me that you are gonna give up that easily on him just because of a possibility?! Are you really questioning whether our captain is strong enough to handle this? Because I'm not. I have no doubt in my mind that if we destroy this shadowy bastard that he will come out as much of the man that he was before all of this happened."

The entire room fell silent. Even Luffy's mind was deathly still. However it didn't stay silent for long before the entire room started cheering in agreement and determination to save their captain. The only question that unknowingly lingered in the polished room was who did they have to save their captain from? This monster or luffy himself?

I had an idea to try and change the POV and was hopin to get your opinion on whether you want the rest of the story to be writren like this or in zoros POV? Once again sry for the wait but ill try to update more often now im free.🤗
