Regionals

Two weeks later glee club was nervous. Tanner looked scared since he had the solo. Alex and Shawna were going over their duet choreography. Drew, Tucker, Corey, Linda, Shawna's mom Cindy, and Tina were in the audience. Tanner looked like he was about to pass out. He got a text from Corey saying

To my shining little butterfly,

Kill it like the person I know you are.

Drew and Tucker say break a leg to.

Tanner smiled and went to the green room. Shawna and Alex hugged him before going into the room. They warmed up and went backstage. Tanner looked and tried not to have a panic attack or throw up. Alex came from the other side and helped Shawna calm him down.

"From Darlington Hight, right here in Darlington Wiscons please give it up for New Directions" the annoucer said

Tanner looked at Shawna and got a thumbs up from Alex. Alex and Shawna cheered him on from the side. Drew and Corey cheered him on from the audience.  He closed his eyes and took a breath and smiled and sang.

After he finished he cried and took a bow.  He got a round of applause from the rest of glee club. He sat down after he changed for the group number. Alex and Shawna came out and got ready. 

(Alex is Rachel & Shawna is Santana) 

They finshed and they got ready for the group number. Shawna hugged Tanner and Alex. 

"This is it' Tanner said before Alex dragged them to the stage

After they were done they ran into the green room Alec saw Tucker and hugged him. Shawna saw Drew and almost tackled him, and Tanner saw Corey and kissed him.

"Guys that was awesome. The audience was nuts. Take five and meet in the lobby." Mr shue said  

The six smiled and walked the halls. Shawna and Alex went to there lockers.  Drew and Tucker followed.  Corey hugged Tanner and smiled. After five minutes, Tanner, Shawna, Alex were sitting in the audience. a few hours later the glee club was in stage with the other clubs. Alex was squeezing Shawna while Tanner was behind Shawna holding her hand. 

"Third place is.... Harmonizers" the judge said 

Alex and Tanner squeezed Shawna even harder. 

"The winner and moving on to the regional competition and moving on to Nationals are... the New Directions" the announcer said 

Alex looked at Shawna and Tanner and hugged them. They cheered and went to the green room  The three got changed into something more comfortable. Corey and Drew were waiting for them outside the green room. Tanner tackled Corey in a hug. Drew saw Shawna hug him and looked happy. 

"What" Alex said as they went and left. 

"If my glee club wins tomorrow,  we go to Nationals together. " Drew said 

The four friends cheered and smiled. Corey watched and smiled. Tanner got home from an afternoon with the guys  and saw him mom making dinner. He set his stuff down and hugged her. He saw four plates and looked confused. 

"Whats up mom" he asked

"We have a surprise guest" she said

"Two of them" he said 

"Yeah and they should be here go answer the door" she said 

Tanner ran and put his bag in his room and answered the door and saw his older siblings. He smiled as they came in.

"Wow feels like forever since weve seen you" his brother Collin said 

"I know because it has because this is the first year ive been back" Tanner said as they went to the kitchen

Colin and his sister Christan looked at him like he was nuts. Tanner sat at the counter and smiled. 

"So bro your graduating next month" his sister asked 

"Yeah" Tanner said 

The four ate dinner. The siblings left and Tanner was laying on the couch smiling.

"So how was it after dinner" Tina asked sitting next to him 

"Good I missed them" Tanner said sitting up 

"Good because there coming to your dance performance and your graduation. Speaking of which do you wanna do a big graduation party with Corey, Alex, Shawna, and Drew" Tina asked

Tanner nodded and smiled. Tina kissed her son and went to bed. Tanner smiled and went to his room and smiled at the picture of him Corey Drew Shawna and Alex at the last football game of his high school carrer
