serenity

our world is full of black holes.
black holes that suck the life
out of everything
that even with the slightest presence
it can create a mountain of
negative energy

black holes spread like
peanut butter on hot toast,
instantly and effortlessly
black holes destroy themselves
from the inside out
and we are the ones
who suffer

black holes take
without thought
ruin
without mind
and destroy
without fear.

but just when we think
we are drowning in darkness
we find a star
a star that creates it's own light
so we don't have to

just when we think
the black hole will suck us in
we look up
and see our world
full of stars.

I hope you guys liked this poem! I wrote this in 9th grade for a school project, but fixed it up a little so it was better. Tell me what you think!

Also, my poems are signed as 'n.x' because I choose not to use my really name.

Much love, Novella
