The street was packed with cars, it would've been hard to find a spot to park but Haru's friend said he could park in the garage. The moment we got there my nerves went out of control. The house was crowded, the music super loud, and it reeked of alcohol inside. "Remember, don't take drinks from strangers, stay close, oh and don't let your drink out of your sight, if you do, get a new one" he called over the music. "Okay" I called back, though I don't think he could hear me. The drink part was easy, I probably wouldn't drink anything anyways, but staying close proved to be difficult with all the people in the way. They were hard to get through. "Haru!" A boy got up from sitting on a kitchen island and threw an arm around Haru. "Finally! I thought you wouldn't show!" He grabbed a can of beer and handed it to Haru, who took it without hesitation. I felt awkward and out of place, although at least nobody was dressed how they are in movies. There weren't a lot of dresses, just skirts and jeans. "Who's that?" The boy asked snapping my attention from surveying the room. "This is Lucy" Haru gestured to me. "Ooooh? I thought you weren't looking for a girlfriend" the boy nudged him. "I'm Landon" he handed me a beer. "L-Lucy" I smiled. I glanced over at Haru instinctively. He chuckled. "You can drink whatever Landon gives you" he smirked. Landon seemed to get what he meant and chuckled.

Haru and Landon talked for awhile, getting a new drink whenever theirs emptied. The noise and heat was giving me a bit of anxiety, so I told Haru I was going outside for some air. I ended up being out there for quite a while, sitting with my unopened drink. I couldn't help stressing over how the heck we would get back to the house, Haru had at least 4 drinks already. I tensed up when someone plopped down beside me. "You've been out here awhile, not having fun?" Landon smiled. "T-that's not it! I'm just not sure what to do with myself at a party" I said. He laughed. "Plus I'm not sure how we'll get home since Haru drank so much already" I sighed. "'How we'll get home'?" He repeated. "W-well he was my ride!" I lied. "Haha I thought that would happen, so you guys can stay the night. I already thought he would, you on the other hand were a surprise" he chuckled. "Sorry..." I said awkwardly. "Don't worry about it!" He patted my head. "You might wanna drink this" he handed me a new, cold beer. "I-I don't really drink, plus I already have one" he chuckled. "You might wanna start, it calms the nerves" he winked. "Besides, warm beer is gross" he took my warm one and opened the new one, handing it to me. I took a deep breath and took a big sip. "Uhck! This is terrible!" My face scrunched up. Landon laughed hysterically. "Drink it fast!" He smiled, flicking his black hair from his face. I made a face preparing myself for the terrible after taste, and chugged the rest of the drink. I coughed. "It's absolutely terrible! I don't get how you guys can drink this" Landon got up still laughing. "You drink till you can no longer taste it" he held out a hand for me. "Impossible" I said taking his hand and letting him drag me back inside.

"Long time no see!" Haru shouted. "Another beer for the lady!" Landon called, handing me a fresh drink from the cooler. "I don't know if I can drink another one" I cringed. "Come on" Landon nudged. I sighed, and did as I did with the first. My face once again scrunched up and my body shuddered and they both laughed. "You have some interesting facial expressions" Haru said. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" I asked. "Well it's not a bad thing" he chuckled. The party died down around 4, people started leaving and getting shoed out by Landon. They got me to drink a third one, which I couldn't handle and ended up almost throwing up on Landon's floor, but luckily they got me to a bathroom fast enough. Haru held my hair and kept stroking my back. "Are you okay?" He asked after Landon left to shoe the rest of the people out. "No" I whined. "Why do people do this?" Haru handed me a cold cloth and I whipped my face. He laughed, "not so sure Luc" he said. He was sitting on the bathtub, which was right beside the toilet. I felt bad, I must have stunk. My parents would've killed me if I'd done this before...I sighed. I missed my parents, my eyes started watering and before I knew it I was full out crying. Haru put his arms around me and I cried into his chest while he asked me what was wrong, I couldn't tell him. I mean hell I didn't even know why I was crying. It just came, like a sudden storm. Without warning.
