Date: August 20th, 2017

The Sunday was going well, up until I decided to snack on a KIND Nut Bar. I casually sat on my bed, watching Haikyuu. As I ate, I realized how extremely sticky the snack was but brushed the idea off. I'll just get rid of the bits after I finish eating, I thought. I then touch my front, right tooth, feeling a sharp point and a rigid curve. My heart instantly sank.

Flashback: *playing tag with friends in 3rd grade*

Friend 1: *runs around the monkey bars*

Me: *laughs, grabs on to the side (not the ones on top, but the ones that stand up), loses control and swings around, banging my front, right tooth, chipping it*

~Present~

Time: 4:05PM

Crap, I repeat over and over as I run to the bathroom mirror. Of all days, it just had to be today.  While my dad's busy taking care of my sister, I call my mom. Being surprisingly calm (or at least more than usual) about it, she tells that I'll get it fixed tomorrow. Tomorrow. I am supposed to leave in approximately 55 minutes (recital begins at 5:30). I quickly get ready for the event and practice in the meantime. Finally, my brother and his fiancée pick me up... with matcha and oreo frappuccinos with boba. Losing cravings for anything sugary, I give it to my dad, who stores it in the fridge.

~Skipping to my performance~

My hands are freezing and stiff. I didn't contemplate the consequences of such conditions. Long story short, there were numerous intonation problems. In one phrase, my fingers slipped and added extra notes/pitches. On a brighter note, I played more confidently with more dynamics after a calm, downtempo section. All I could hear was the ear-piercing sounds resonating across the room. There is an applaud, but I am still discouraged by my performance. Most would think that all of my performances were completed. Well, that's not the case if you were also a part of the orchestra.

~Orchestra performance~

Orchestra Teacher: *Gives a signal for us to come up*

My private lesson teacher: "No ____, he's calling up the ones behind you."

My spirit diminished and I grow perplexed.

Private Lesson Teacher: "Are you in the orchestra?"

Me: *nods up and down*

Private Lesson Teacher: "Oh ok then go up."

My spirit is replenished... or so I thought. I already made the mistake of chipping my tooth and now, I have forgotten about the sheet music in the car. On the plus side, I memorized. However, something about staring at the entity gives me a sense of reassurance. Baffling, my intonation sucked. Back to the bright side, the other fourth violinist shared her sheet music with me, even though I didn't ask.

~After Recital~

My brother, his fiancée, and I go to her (his fiancée's) parent's house, where we eat seafood and noodles.

A/N: School... geometry... so much homework and a ton of practicing. At least now, during Thanksgiving Break, I have some time to catch up on sleep and work on tasks I want to work on. For those who have been actually reading these, I am confuzzled, but thank you!
