AN: I sadly do not own Naruto Characters! I only own Cyllamari and this story line.
Okay, now on with the story! ;)
"One order of Miso ramen, please." I ask Ayame, a genuine smile making my face hurt. She takes Izumo's order of the exact same thing and walks back to her father. I turn to Izumo, who's sitting at the bar beside me, and smile even brighter, "I almost can't believe I'm getting Ichiraku's ramen again!"
"Me too!" He laughs cheekily, making me glare at him, which results in him only laughing more.
"Don't patronize me, you big bully." I grumble incoherently, and Izumo just keeps laughing all the more. I glance over at Teuchi, the owner of the ramen shop, and find him staring at me. I send him the brightest smile I can manage, and he smiles right back, a twinkle in his kind eyes. He serves up two heaping bowls of ramen, and walks them over to our seats, the smile still on his face.
"Good evening, you two. Finally found a girl that makes you laugh, Izumo?" Teuchi teases, making Izumo turn tomato red and me burst out in giggles.
"I don't think I ever date this bully!" I giggle, wrapping my hands around the warm bowl that Teuchi hands me, "He only laughs because he thinks I'm hilariously weird!"
"Is that so?" Teuchi raises an eyebrow at Izumo, and the usually self-assured shinobi shrinks back into his seat, "Have you been treating this nice young lady with the utmost respect, Izumo? Or do I need to have a word with you?"
"She's fine!" Izumo protests, much to his shame as Teuchi glares at him, "I didn't do anything!"
"He stole my lunch yesterday!" I mourn, remembering the hard work I put into the ramen that I only got a few bites of, "And then lied about it."
"What?! That again?" Izumo fumes, his ramen completely forgotten, "I thought we already went over this- yeOUCH!"
"How dare you treat such a nice young lady with disrespect! I thought you were better than this, Izumo!" Teuchi scorns as he whacks Izumo over the head with his heavy wooden spoon, "Stealing, and lying! And you call yourself a shinobi! Hmmph!"
"It's quite alright, Teuchi-san." I say calmingly, inwardly howling in laughter at the dark shade of red Izumo's whole face has acquired, "I'm sure he won't do it again."
"Did he apologize?" Teuchi asks me gently while Izumo seethes beside me.
"Why would I have to apologize for- yeOUCH!" Izumo yelps as the wood connects with his skull again, and he sends me a begging look.
"I'm quite sorry for his behavior, my dear." Teuchi smiles at me apologetically, "Izumo isn't usually like this. I honestly thought better of him."
"It's okay." I respond sweetly, and I can practically feel Izumo's wrath as he watches me act so perfectly innocent, "I'm sure he doesn't mean it."
"Alright, well, if he gives you any more trouble, be sure and call me over, okay?" Teuchi offers, and I nod. He whacks Izumo one more time for good measure before trotting off to attend to other customers. I take a bite of the delicious ramen, and melt inside as the scrumptious taste melts all over my tongue. Izumo breathes heavily beside me while I munch away on my much deserved treat. Dealing with him for a week has sure tired me out.
"You just had to mention it, didn't you." Izumo grumbles, rubbing his sore scalp as his takes his first bite.
"Aww, does the big strong ninja's head have a boo boo?" I mock in an overly childish voice, making him glare at me, "Do you want me to kiss it and make it better?"
