After enjoying a mostly quiet lunch with Kyle, I gave him a hug, reassured him that I was fine, and headed to class for the rest of the day. Thankfully, they were my two easiest classes and they passed fairly quickly. After school, there was a short practice which I wasn't required to attend, but I planned on going anyway. It was only mandatory that I attended half of the practices every week. Because there was two games this week - Monday and yesterday - there was four practices every other day except Sunday. I already attened three, so I was more than good, but I figured I'd finish out the week.

After my final period, I headed to my locker to get my books. Only paying attention to what was going on on the inside of my locker, I didn't notice the people gathering around me. After a second, I looked up and saw four girls, each with a matching smirk. I rolled my eyes and focused my eyes back in my books. "What do you want?" I asked.

One of them - Paige, the leader of the group - circled to the other side of my locker oppoiste the door so I couldn't hide her. "Heard you had a little 'run in' with Mr. Madden today."

It wasn't a secret Paige was in love with Tyler. It never really was, actually. She had a massive crush on him since middle school when they met. Paige was the captain of the softball team and also one of my former best friends and Tyler was the baseball team captain. They never dated, but even since freshman year they kind of had what some people would call a 'thing'.

I kept my eyes on the inside, looking for my Algebra book with the dolphin on the cover. "Define 'run in.'" I wasn't really paying attention to them and had no desire to answer her questions.

Paige stepped in close and her smirk was replaced by a glare. 'You know what I'm talking about."

I finally looked up at her, annoyed. "If you mean him coming and raping my theigh with his hand during lunch, then yes. We had a 'run in.' Happy?" As much as I didn't want to talk to any of them, Paige never left without an answer, so it would be less painful to just answer her.

Paige's glare got even more venomous. "No, actuually, I'm not. Stay back, he's mine, you little whore."

I rolled my eyes. "He doesn't even like yo-" My sentence was cut off by a hand slapping my face.

I stood stunned for a minute before my hand reached up to my face.

"Don't think I forget about freshman year. Stay. Back." she threatened.

Finally, after a solid five second glare, she turned on her heel and the rest of the girls followed her, each one bumping into me.

"Drew?"

I shook my head and turned to see Kyle and Nick jogging up behind me.

"What the hell happened?" Kyle asked his angry protective older brother voice while Nick just stood next to him, concerned.

"Nothing, just Paige." I shook my head, not wanting to worry Kyle.

Nick looked confued. "Tyler's Paige?"

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah. 'Tyler's' Paige."

"What was she doing talking to you?" he asked.

I sighed, "Noth-"

Kyle cut me off with a glare like he knew something was up. "Does this have anything to do with what happened at lunch?"

I internally cussed, hoping Kyle would say anything more about it. I didn't want Nick knowing about the situation. Tyler was his best friend and I didn't want him to choose me over him.

"No, just let it-"

Again, I was cut off, but this time by Nick. I was frusterated with all the cutting me off now. "Wait, what happened at lunch?" Nick turned to Kyle for an answer.
