"Jack! Put that knife away!" Mark said frantically. "Oh, don't be so anxious, Mark. I'm not going to kill you yet." Jack said. Mark noticed that Jack was staring at his midnight blue hair. "Say, you don't mind if I?" Jack stated as he put the knife up to a lock of Mark's hair. Mark got a nervous look on his face. "Take a strand of you hair?" Jack said as he made a quick swipe upwards, catching the lock of hair as well as cutting through his scalp. Mark yelped at the pain from the knife. Jack stared at the lock of hair in triumph and went over to a mirror that was in the corner. "Hmm, I don't know. Should I have blue in my hair or not? Mark?" Jack questioned him. As he did, quiet sobbing was heard from Mark due to the pain on his bleeding scalp. "Ugh! What is it now?!" Jack added while he stomped over to Mark. "What's become of you, Jack? What did I do to make you do this to me? You can tell me everything and I'll never do it again." Mark pleaded.
"It's too late to fix things, Mark. The damage is already done." Jack said in a thicker accent. "W-what did I even do?" Mark asked him. "You, you FUCKING PLAYED WITH MY EMOTIONS! THINKING THAT YOU WANTED TO BE MORE THAN FRIENDS! YOU FUCKING PLAYED ME!" Jack shouted at him. "Jack, it was a goof! It was a joke, it was supposed to be a funny kind of thing!" Mark said to him in shock. Jack's face turned red with anger and his eye and bottom lip were twitching. He started to growl at Mark like a feral animal as Mark cowered in fear.
"Oh. You thought it was a joke, did you? Is this a joke to you?!" Jack shouted as he slapped Mark with the force of a punch. "O-Ow! W-what the fuck, Jack?!" Mark screamed. "I guess you don't understand what I'm trying to get across to you. If I kill you, then my feelings of rage, resentment, and betrayal, they'll all be gone. The person who broke my fucking heart dying, that's the best revenge that I can get. After all, I am the crazy one in your eyes, right, Mark?" Jack explained. He choked on the last part as tears started to form in his eyes.
"You don't know what I fucking went through because of that! You've never had to deal with betrayal, you've never had to deal with any of it! Fucking any of it!" Jack shouted at Mark, so much that he thought he was going to lose his voice. "Hey, Jack. I felt the same pain as you did. You don't need to kill me just to get rid of the anger and betrayal. If you let me go, maybe we can try it." Mark said. Jack's face turned to shocked in an instant. "R-really?" Jack asked through tears. "Really. Now, come and give your best friend a hug." Mark said to him in a friendly manner. Jack walked over to Mark and hugged Mark's chest, resting his head on Mark's shoulder. Mark caressed Jack with his hand a couple times as Jack seemed to calm down after a couple moments.
At a slow pace, Jack released his hug from Mark and then pushed his hands on the vertical table, flipping it horizontally. "W-what the hell? Why did you do that?" Mark asked in confusion. Jack started to laugh quietly. "You think you could get me that easily? Oh, Mark. You should've seen this coming." Jack hinted while wiping his tears from his eyes. "I-I didn't see it coming. I really didn't." Mark said as Jack walked over to the wooden workbench. He looked at the displayed weapons, humming to himself, "What to use, what to use...". Jack continued to search until he found something. "Ah, I know what to use." Jack giggled as he picked up a baseball bat. Mark's eyes widened at the sight of it. "Hope you're ready for some pain, Mark." Jack said as he walked over to him.
"No, no, no! Please, no! Jack!" Mark screamed. Jack knelt down a little lower and put his index finger up to Mark's lips. "Shhh, It's okay, Mark. I promise I'll be gentle." Jack walked a couple inches towards Mark's torso with the bat in hand. "Don't, don't! Please, Jack!" Mark pleaded. The metal bat was held into the air in an instant as Jack was ready to swing. Mark's eyes swelled up with tears as his once best friend was about to inflict pain onto him. With no hesitation, Jack swung the bat on top of Mark's chest, causing his ribs to shatter. Mark could feel the tiny shards spread across his body as he shouted for help, but Jack's maniacal laughter was drowning out those calls.
"W-was that joke worth it?!" Jack asked through psychotic laughter. He swung again, this time, hitting Mark's lungs, making it difficult for him to breathe. Every breath that Mark tried to take was agonizing. Jack loved the look on Mark's dying body, so much that he wanted to end his suffering. He went back to his wooden workbench and grabbed his favorite knife, walking back over to Mark. "Now, Mark." Jack turned his head to a 90 degree angle. "Since you're already close to dying, why not end your suffering?" Jack said to him.
"J-Jack, p-please, s-stop." Mark said weakly in between gasps. "Sorry, Mark. You're almost dead anyways. I don't want to leave you beaten and battered, gasping in agony." Jack said as he looked into Mark's chocolate brown eyes, meeting with his blue ones. "So, Mark? Any last words?" Jack question as he smiled psychotically at his beaten friend. "I... I... Hate you so much..." Mark said quietly as he gasped for air. "I hate you, too." Jack said with a laugh at the end. Mark slowly closed his eyes, starting to lose consciousness. Then Mark stopped breathing as Jack gripped the knife in his hand, stabbing Mark over and over again, even though he was already dead. Then he heard police sirens approaching his apartment, but he just carried on stabbing his dead friend as the basement door was kicked open...
