Two hours.

Nothing.

I was really starting to worry now. I hadn't eaten anything yet, and usually when I'm stressed, I eat a ton of watermelon.

Plus, it was lunchtime, I really should eat. But I didn't feel like it, I was too worried.

My stomach growled. I guess it had other plans. I walked down into the kitchen, my mom walking in after me and hugging me tight.

"Happy birthday, dear! I can't believe you're 19, oh my goodness you're so big now-"

Any other time, I would've hated this. But with all the worrying of no one remembering my birthday, it felt good to be praised like this.

I hugged her back just as tight and smiled. "Thanks mom, that means a lot."

She grinned at me. "Oh yeah, and your father and Kate say happy birthday too."

"Tell them thanks."

"I did. Oh yeah, and there's cupcakes in the fridge." She gave me one last hug and left the room.

That made me want to cry. She even got me cupcakes. I walked over to the fridge and opened the door, seeing all the cupcakes. My mouth watered as I took one out and unwrapped it. It was delicious. I ended up eating five of them. I guess I really was hungry.
