11 hours.

I woke up and looked up at the clock, seeing the time was 9 PM. I immediately grabbed my phone and checked to see if I had any notifications, and..

None.

It didn't really come as a surprise this time. But it still hurt. A lot, actually. But whatever.

Just..whatever..

My lip trembled and I turned the phone off, not wanting to look at the empty screen anymore.

God, how could all of my friends have forgotten? I mean..I only have three of them, but still..Chris has known me for so long..and he forgot.

I kept the tears back as best I could, but a few slipped down my cheeks. I wiped them away and went to the fridge to grab my last cupcake.

Stay strong, Ted. Stay strong. I kept repeating those words to myself. For all I know, everyone will burst in with a ton of cake and presents at any moment..maybe even at 11:59.

I smiled slightly. That would be pretty funny, actually. Imagine being asleep and all of a sudden everyone's screaming "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" and throwing confetti..I chuckled.

That would be great..hopefully, it'll happen.

Please let something happen.

Something good.

Please..
