Outside

Allen pov: The fresh cold air rushed towards me all at once. Kanda was still holding me under the moonlight. Everything was still and silent, our lips met for a brief moment, releasing some of the tension between us. Kanda continued to carry me as a fresh layer of snow crunched under his boots, I shivered against him. Instantly Kanda held me tighter, he was so warm. After a minute of walking we reached a wheel chair he had set out previously, he set me down. Kanda took off his jacket and wrapped it around me. I tried to protest but it was futile we both knew I needed the jacket more. He wheeled me around in silence on a small paved pathway, the wheels left tracks in the light layer of snow. I don't know where we're going but it feels so nice to leave the hospital room. For the first time in a long time I can say that I feel free.

Kanda pov: The moyashi was adorable wearing my jacket, it was far too big for him and he cuddled up to it like a child. I decided to take him to a nearby park. "Close your eyes Allen" I whispered in his ear. Allen obliged to my instruction and we arrived at our destination. "Okay you can look now."

Allen pov: The sight before me was gorgeous. Snow covered the ground. The lake was not yet fully frozen but a thin layer of ice was starting to form overtop creating a beautiful glistening scene. A dazzling white pavilion was near the center of the park, lanterns hanging off of it illuminating it in a warm yellow light. The path leading towards it was clear and within a small bench was covered in soft blankets. Kanda had prepared all of this beforehand. Kanda took me to the pavilion. He sat down and placed me on his lap. I draped my arm around his neck. It was so warm inside the pavilion especially with the blankets. The roof above us shielded us from the snow falling around us. This is a dream come true, I can feel my heart beating out of my chest. This perfect man loves me and dear god, I love him too. I rested one hand in his, holding it lightly he squeezed my hand back. I closed my eyes, everything is going to be okay now. As long as I have him by my side. Kanda moved in for a kiss while my eyes were still closed. He was my warmth in this winter wonderland.

"So are we officially..." Kanda stuttered "athingnow"

"Hmm I don't know, what's a thing?" I replied playing dumb.

"Shut up bean sprout you know what I mean." He murmured back.

"No please tell me what you mean." I smiled at Kanda struggling to properly ask me.

"Okay fine, Allen will you be my..." Kanda's words faded, the last part just a mumble.

"Sorry what was that?"

"I SAID WILL YOU BE MY BOYFRIEND!" Kanda shouted it so loudly I wouldn't be surprised if the villagers woke up.

"Of course I will, only if you'll be my boyfriend back BaKanda."

He kissed me in response. "I think that answers your question Moyashi."
