Illusions

Kanda pov: I let myself be careless. One moment Allen was with me and the next he was gone. I let my guard down and Allen had vanished without a trace. His whole body just faded into nothing.  What the hell is happening!?

Road pov: Kanda looked confused, Allen just disappeared. In truth Allen was never there. It was just an image I created with his conscious planted in. The moments they shared tonight were just illusions, a shared dream of sorts. I decided to approach Kanda. "Hey there." Kanda offered no response.

"Uh oh did I break you?" I walked a little closer.

Once I was close he moved faster than I could think, slashing my body from side to side.

"That wasn't very nice." His attack was ineffective, I came as a projection as well.

Kanda glared at me "Where is he!"

"If I told you that would ruin the fun. But if you want some advice, I'd give up on Allen. Even if you get him back this time it's too late. The Allen you know will never return once the Noah within awakens." I started fading away and my attention was brought back to reality. I was back to the room I shared with Allen and Tyki in our lovely ark. Allen was regaining consciousness but when he opened his eyes, they were Noah gold.

Lavi pov: my back is practically fine now, it still stings a little but the slash Kanda gave me wasn't too bad.  After we met with Kanda and Allen we went to a doctor in the next town over for my  back. We stayed in the town for a week, secretly tracking Allen and Kanda. This time was for a different reason though. We just wanted to support them if they run into trouble in their current state. After we left Kanda and Allen Lenalee snuck back and planted a small tracker on Allen's body. We had been monitoring it from our inn when suddenly Allens location changed. In a matter of minutes he had traveled miles away from the hospital. Something wasn't right. We decided to run to where we saw them last. The hospital room they were supposed to be in was empty. The window agar.

Lenalee pov: panic struck me, where did they go. I jumped through the open window, hoping to track them. There were foot prints but they were quickly being covered as the snow kept coming down. We ran quickly in that direction but the foot prints had completely been covered in snow. We took a path leading in that direction still. The sun was starting to rise in the sky and we approached a park. Kanda was standing alone with road! We ran faster and watched Kanda slice through her and then she faded away.

"KANDA!" I shouted as we approached where Kanda stood.

Kanda turned towards us, something happened that we never saw before. Tears leaked down Kanda's face. Were we too late? Where was Allen?
