Incoming Call From: Jughead 👑
Archie blinked as the light seeping through his curtains blinded him, and he went searching for his phone. He finally found it, and answered the call.

"Arch?" Jugheads voice rang through the phone, deep and gravelly.

"Morning to you too, Jug. What's up?" Archie asked, a yawn coming upon him.

"You didn't get much sleep last night either?"

"Kind of hard to when someone is coming after one of your best friends." Archie replied, and Jughead sighed on the other end.

"I know. I can't help thinking about what would have happened if she was in her apartment when they got there... I'd be out the love of my life." Jughead said sadly, and Archie felt a bit of pain in his chest at the sound of it.

"Yeah, we'd all be out one of the best things to ever come to Riverdale. How is she holding up?" He asked, and Archie heard as Jughead walked to where Y/N was to check up on her.

"She spent most of the night up and crying, but..." Jughead stopped to peer into his fathers bedroom to see Y/N curled up in bed. Mascara trails adorned her face but besides that she looked peaceful, almost happy, although it was a known fact she was not. "She seems to have finally fallen asleep." He finished.

"Good, she needs the rest. I was really worried about her." Archie confessed, and he heard as Jughead chuckled slightly.

"You know Archie, you've been seemingly giving more and more of your attention to Y/N lately. You worry about her more than you worry about everything else going on in your life..." Jughead said, jealousy and suspicion lacing his voice.

"Her house was just lit on fire, Jug. What do you want me to do? Pretend it never happened and move on with my life? She's one of my best friends, and there's no way I'm doing that. Ever." Archie defended himself.

"You seemed to have gotten very cozy with her last night. I may be mistaken but it seems like you still harbor feelings for Y/N." Jughead said coldly, and Archie went to deny it, but was cut off. "You have Betty. You don't need to mess with Y/N and her feelings, especially right now when she has all of this bullshit going on. She's got the letters J.K scarred permanently in her back from her nightmare night at school, and she just lost her home and all of her belongings. And sadly it doesn't seem like that's going to be the end of her torture until Jason's killer is caught, which who knows when the police will get off their ass and do just that. I think for right now it would be better if you left Y/N alone." Jughead concluded, leaving Archie angry.

"You can't just cut me off from seeing one of my closest friends, Jughead. I have every right to see her, just as much as you do." He argued.

"No. I'm her boyfriend, I'm supposed to protect her and that's exactly what im going to do. And right now, I'm protecting her from you and your hormonal confusion. Sorry Arch." And with that, Jughead hung up the phone, leaving Archie fuming on the other end.

Jughead put his phone in his pocket and slowly crept inside the room where Y/N was sleeping, crawling carefully into bed with her. She awoke slightly, looking over to see Jughead in the bed and she moved to lean into him. He wrapped his arms around her tight and closed his eyes, letting sleep take him as well.

Jughead awoke a few hours later to Y/N not in the bed, and he jumped up, searching for her. He stumbled into the kitchen and found her sitting on the counter, a chocolate bar in her hand.

"Mornin sunshine." She said somewhat happily, and he looked at her concerned.

"What time is it?" he asked, and she looked at the microwave behind her.
