Your stylist helps you dress. The outfit is designed for rock climbing, it seems- sturdy boots, shorts, and a T-shirt. You say goodbye, and climb in the tube.
Your pedestal takes quite long time to rise, finally reaching the top. You stand on top of a flat stone pillar, with your pedestal on top. Your competitors also stand like that, all around a giant pillar top, which holds the cornucopia.
But what shocks you is the water. Water surrounds everything, making each pillar like an island. The water is clear, and you can see little fish swimming around. How deep is it? It's hard to tell, but something tells you it's about three stories deep. That means the pillars are that high.
The clock is ticking. You have less than thirty seconds to make your decision. The pillars are evenly spaced out from the cornucopia and each other- you can either jump or swim the six feet to the Cornucopia. The odds are against jumping.
Can you swim? There wasn't a swimming area in the training center, so if you can't, you better be good at jumping.
The going goes off!
You can see the supplies at the cornucopia- inflatable rafts, tents, and plenty of backpacks promising help. What do you choose? To the cornucopia or away to safety?
Aside from the tribute pedestals, the pillars have different sizes. They are all the same height, but they are spaced out at random.
There are no trees. You can see tiny plants growing in crevices on some on the pillars, but that's it besides the fish.
After the bloodbath (which you may or may not have participated in), thirteen cannons go off. Thirteen dead. You won't know who for sure until sunset, unless you helped kill them.
Check your supplies. What do you have? Unless you took over the cornucopia, or have several bags, you probably don't have much. Some of the backpacks contain equipment for rock climbing, which seems useless now- you can't climb into the water. But all the supplies have something in common- there are no matches or fire-starters.
Hours pass, and the only visible food source is the fish and the small plants growing. They are similar to the dandelions that grew in the sidewalks. The water can be purified.
At sunset, something odd happens. The water begins to drain away as the anthem plays, getting lower and lower. After the dead are shown, something even odder happens.
It starts in the distance. Each pillar begins glowing, and it looks as if they are on fire. They grow closer and closer to you, until your choice is clear- get off the pillars or be roasted alive.
Once you're safely on the (now dry) ground, you look up at the pillar tops again. It briefly reminds you of a torch.
Set up watch (or don't) and drift off to sleep.

1. Because one of the alliances need extensions, plus the fact that I'm about to go on a trip, and because this will take awhile to write, you have three weeks to do this. It is due on the 26th of July.
2. Each alliance will be assigned a couple of kills. Split them up over the group. Some people may kill a lot, other may choose to not kill at all. If you don't use up all of your assigned kills, or need more, let me know. Tell me before the due date.
3. If you are not in an alliance, you may or may not be assigned a kill. If your character chooses not to kill, let me know beforehand and I'll move it to the list of unclaimed kills. If you don't have a kill any you want one, let me know. Tell me before the due date.
4. For the first week, I'll be totally gone. I won't be able to answer questions. On the second week, I'll be on at night and I'll catch up on everything. The last week, I'll be on regularly and able to help.
5. I tried to assign out kills based on your characters. The nicer seeming ones killed less, the Careers and vicious ones killed more. I can change it, so don't worry. If you want to trade kills (vengeance or the like) go ahead. Just tell me so I can mark it in.
